I have an idea if you'd ever consider putting capitals up for play in valkyrie it would in my opinion be insanely awesome if we could have something like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9Q2X32hZNk
ofc you would not require to sit in the same room but if you could have a team put together to fly a capital by doing different tasks on the ship ^^ i would love feedback and whatnots on this thanks everyone! :) |

We agree that this is an awesome idea and we have indeed thought about it. But currently this is outside of what Valkyrie is about, at least for now.

This idea is great. One of the foundamental assets of the pvp social paradigm in Eve Online is the "FC" and the concept of Fleets/Squads.
Having a dedicated crew, for a single big ship (we could have the same idea not only for titans, but for every non-industrial ship that is bigger than a battleship) could be a nice way to emulate the normal sov/coalition/alliance/corp pvp action. On little, scaled, size.
Here's my idea:
- One commander (ship alignments, movements, warp, etc).. And our substitute for the FC concept in this case.
- One for shields (shield boosting, shield/armor repping, capacitor management)
- One for Logi and boosting (if avaible)
- One for targeting (dampening, scramming, webbing) and weapons (or maybe, more than one people for offensive systems.. depending by the type , size, fittings, and offensie capabilities of the ship).
- Also, i dont know how you are planning to implement the Valkyrie squads into battles, but i presume that the "swarms" are moved in battlezones into ships: Maybe we could have a person (or more than one person) that is responsible to help (maybe with dedicated buffs, or tactical help, like target broadcasting (both for valkyrie ships for strat-op targets, or "mothership" targets for "covering fire" in order to defend/help the squads in action), placing waypoints, or just keeping the squads (and the squad-chiefs) informed on the evolutions of the battle.. Like: "Armor at 30% and no scrams! We are deploying and warping out, Squad 1-2 and 3 Dock Now!" XD
- What about Comms distruption officer? Yeah I know, a lot of player will use TS or Mumble in a paradigm like that.. but we could have a person responsible of destrupting short-range enemy communication services.. like fleets/squads chats or broadcasting capabilities... this should add some SPICE into battles... :D
Imho: Social based activities are the great aspect of the Pvp concept in Eve Online. Adapting this, in order to have a some sort of socially interconnected and interoperable massive multiplayer version of Star Trek Bridge Commander (Old but GOLD! Give it a try it guys, a lot of ispirational stuff in that game) should be a great way to.. well... Make thinks in Eve Online Style :)

sounds pretty good, i would have guessed like one guy for targetting/utilitys with some minigame shiet involved for incresing or decresing target time. one guy for weapons with aiming and shiet one guy for defending maybe manageing multiple shield fields for small areas around the shot to block out specific hotspots of incoming damage one guy for managing stuff like overheating and power/cpu management also with some minigame of sort one guy for maybe letting other smaller allies dock in a skynet like sorta feature for refilling ammo/structure/armor/shields and one for for piloting the damn thing obviously. :) |

Personally, I would more prefer the idea of finding a way to handle the massive network load of having Carriers and Super-Carriers acting as mobile spawn points for Valkyrie players, effectively allowing us to get into smack-downs with our giant ships while the Valkyrie players zip around shooting us and each other.
All those childhood fantasies we all probably got after watching Star Wars finally realized within a game.

An excellent example of why pod killmails are the best feature to be implemented in EVE Online since warping at zero.

why not both ^^ we can have caps piloted by multiple players aswell as being spawn/restocking stations ^^ maybe something like u can spawn at the cap so u dont have to waste 20 sec flying back to the battlefield, but if the cap is down u have to fly from the start which gives your enemys some advantages. |

I have always wanted a game that would allow multiple players interacting together for one massive ship. I wouldn't be surprised if CCP Games is the one to do something on this level at some point in the not-so-near-future. |

Overall, I think that this is just not the purpose or goal of EvE Valkyrie. The big ships belong to EvE Online.
But maybe Valkyrie Players could serve as crews? That could be an idea. The EvE Valkyrie Players could recieve orders from the EvE Online Player as he/she locks onto a ship, or fires his/her weapons.
Overall though, I think the big ships should be left to players. |

Isen't the goal of Valkyrie to make the best VR PvP game? imagine putting on those VR Goggles and look around u on a massive commandbridge with smaller ships flying around upside of the windows dogfighting. you're acting as a tactical superpower on the field and you're vital for your your teams sucess and enemys need to advance with care in your pressence. you do not only have to communicate with the rest of your fleet to garantee your victory you do also have to communicate with the crew of your own ship to conquer the battlefield.
if you ask me, that's some pretty damn badass VR PvP |
