CA should have done Warhammer a long long long time ago.
Hope they've learnt their lessons on the Rome TW failures, else it's going to be yet another disappointing AAA release.

Creative Assembly guys seem to be excellent at taking the interesting parts of some era/milieu and making it into Fun Gameplay. Historical Accuracy or Realism, bah and be damned! It's the unique quirks of each unit, and the mix of them versus each other, that counts. No wait, it's the big board strategy chess game that counts. Dang, stupid AI, why you coming after that dirt poor fort way over there, with 1 Militia and 1 Spearmen? Crap, that's the backwater rural backdoor into my empire! 
I haven't played Rome 2, but with Shogun 2, I thought they blew the formula by being too focused on Trade and Economics (Hard), while also still being Unrealistic (Easy). (Ashigaru Naphtha Throwers. Upgradable to Samurai Naphtha Throwers maybe? WTH A hard insult to all bushi warfare purists!).
Anyway, I'm counting to Creative Assembly to do right on this one. They have room for creativity with the map, units, and everything else. And they're good at making things into great wargames/strategy games. Go guys!

Also, yay for BG:A! I'm suddenly loving the fact that THQ no longer exists. I mean a lot of the games are bound to be ****, but one or two will be good. |

I saw, but they're turning it into an RTS, not the old turn based fleet combat game.
You know, I need to see if they have a tabletop emulator for BFG by now, that might be fun.
