The only verdict I can give is that the Machariel will win. Why? Well I've 1 v 1'd DaMiGe's Mach in a T2 Blasterthron. Ok I accept that a Megathron isn't a Vindicator. But except for HP difference and total cap due to MWD bonus... I really can't see what advantage the Vindicator would have over the Megathron, unless Farjung fits an EWAR mod in the 5th medslot specifically applied to "nerf" DaMiGe. From experience, the Machariel will convincingly beat the Megathron class hull, but then, I don't know what Farjung's Vindicator setup is. At the end of the day though, if it were to be a "scrap in a belt" then they would have general PvP tanks on, in an organized 1 v 1 however, i'm betting both will setup to tank each other. 1 v 1's really can't determine who is better than the other, or who has the better ship to the other respectively. If they know what each other is in, if they know their tactics, etc etc, then they'll know how to counter it. The only true way to determine who would win a fight between the two of them is to put them in the same ship with identical setups, then it would be down to who is better than the other... as it would all rely on skillz. Put it this way though. I wouldnt feel any more secure fighting DaMiGe's Machariel in a Vindicator, than I would in a Megathron. G O>

And I would assume he would use explosive drones to negate any uber Kin/Thermal mach tank. The vindicator has a better tank, better damage, lower speed, less range. But you could have a nano-mach, a nos-mach which would really run a vindicator's day. Although, being pre-arranged, the vindi may have 2x cap recharger IIs in mids. Who knows, so many possibilities...

Posted - 2006.11.10 04:34:00 - [80] Well having fought Farjung a few times I would have to say that he is the man and that Vindi was the single most powerful battleship i have ever come across. After my first encounter with his ship i spent a few weeks coming up with a setup for a ship that could beat his vindi (with the use of ECM jammers, i refuse to jam him) and when the time was right I sought him out and it took me 3 days to get a hold of him (there were about 100 BOB guys between me and him ). In the end he agreed to the 1v1 and completely kicked my ass. Good guy though because he gave me all my moduals back. I frapped the whole thing though i dare not show it. If this 1v1 ever really happens then good luck Farjung.

From what i've seen in the DaMige vids it would be pretty interessting to see them both fight. Not because i wonder who could or would win but to see DaMige face a real fight and not a gank in his favour.
