Megathron Navy Issue have additional low slot (and from now have uber tank like amarr ships), but Raven Navy Issue no, he has still ONLY 6 slots for tank, same as normal version.
Also in Kali we lost chance to better shield boost with crystal implants (yes armor too, but shield boost have higher value due to smaller number of slots for tank on caldari bs).
Also we must remember that armor resistances (all ships in eve) is higher than shield resistance (for example Armor: 60+10+35+35=140, Shield 0+60+40+20=120). And yes shield is recharging (but very very slow), also with massive dps, that recharge means nothing. And Armor tankers have more time becouse they waiting until they have no shield and armor, caldari pilots with shield tanking go away when they lost their shields.
I think that ccp should resolve that really big inbalance and make seven med slots to navy issue version of caldari battleship.

actually, wait for Kali 2, when factional warefare comes in, and all Factional agent rewards should only be obtainable thorugh Factional warefare, as well as the return of faction modules to factional warefare rewards.

I wouldn't say a Navy issue Raven is left behind by the mere cosmetic lack of another low slot.
Symmetry is not balance.

The Raven is a low DPS ship compared to the Mega but tanks a lot better.
Faction BS address those weaknesses. Also, if you want a raven that tanks better you can allways get a Mach.
What do you want to tank anyway? Just get a command ship. I think that more damage > More tanking.

well.....this new warefare you speak of, i prefer T-Fal over your standard aluminum pan or cooking set. can you imagine some people actually still use aluminum pans to cook in?!
now factional warefare, that will be expensive, thick, teflon coated pans, stainless steel or even regular burnished steel, you warefare will be primo expensive. i wonder what warefare will create utensil wise....been looking for a nice silver setting........ |

strange... i always believed that the most used and therefore most expensive faction (read: not pirate faction) battleship was the caldari navy raven. I wonder why...

Navy Raven has 7 launchers ffs... it doesnt need extra slots as well.
I know the Fleet Tempest has just one extra medium slot. Thats it. No extra dps. Probably get killed by a normal Raven. THATS something to complain about...
But I actually had a thread about it a while ago, but people loved the Fleet Tempest, so I backed off... :) The 6:th med makes a big difference it seems.
