Testing X-ray Ls with megabeams and tachs, then I wondered, where have I seen this green beam before. So cool...so menacing...
Then it hit me. It's like that green beam the Borg uses to cut up ships!

If only we had a borg like enemy. Even if the joves suddenly went psycho. We need an enemy that starts off in several systems with incredibly powerful ships doing destruction without previous warning. Then a week later a massive fleet should appear and move from region to region towards concord in a spiral until it is destroyed.
An enemy that leaves Wolf 359 sized destruction.

yea! :D, thats thier tractor beams, sound of those are extremly cool =).

More like borg larvas. Those are not dangerous or something. Still one of the thoughest NPCs, though.
Anyway, it seems to me that CCP was planning something linke that.
- There are some pictures/models of "infested" stations and BS in the gamecode (or just as screens?). Perhaps they were/are planning an universal enemy like HW - Cataclysm's "Beast".
- The Jove empire isn't the only realm not acessible atm.

... There's "infested Dominix" in the game database, and the PotW story about rogue drones mentions them being able to take over attacked ships so they can spread further...
(some rogue drones appear to be in the database as well, now)

Rogue drones were ebil, I remember the great battle between the big ass Hive and Deathwing in his begotten Armageddon in beta. |

That was an apoc
And yes, it was a sweet sweet battle and there were tons of em
Only prob was though, that the security system wasnt working right yet, and you lost sec for shooting at the drones
So after killing them all, i found my sec was now -9.9 and everyone thought i went around blasting little n00bs or something
Which would be the same as shooting anyone, cause all anyone had was n00b ships at that time 
cept me cause i was 1337
