Warp to 0km alternative

Novan Leon Goat Raiders	Posted - 2006.11.08 17:20:00 - [1] Here's a very simple alternative to the "warp to 0km" solution: No bookmarks allowed within 15km of gate or station. Problem solved with minimal fuss. Game stays as it is now, except no instas. Game increases in difficulty for lowsec, granted, but is that necessarily a bad thing? Discuss. PS. I spend 90% of my time in lowsec and I don't use instas.

I'm not even certain it's very good for the servers, either, nor if warping to gates would be compatible with warp bubbles, et al. - Am I in the coolest alliance or what?

Do you even understand how instas work? Just create the BM's 30km from the gate instead of 15km, and warp to 30km....

You overestimate the difficulty of making a 30km or even 100km insta. Just bring the gate symbols of your starting gate and your target inline and get to the right distance (- 4km of the warp in). Chances are very good you arrive within jump range.

Do you even understand how instas work? Just create the BM's 30km from the gate instead of 15km, and warp to 30km.... At 30km out from the gate, wouldn't you have to be warping in from a position directly in-line with the 30km bookmark and the jumpgate? Anything other than a head-on warp to bookmark (such as from an object at an angle) would cause you to miss the gate altogether. Mabye I'm crazy?
