Edited by: James Don on 08/11/2006 22:24:48 I am well prepared for the flames / beating I am about to recieve for asking this
Is it intended that MWD's work inside warp bubbles or is it an oversight on the DEV's part?
They dont work in deadspace, they are "micro" warp drives and the bubble is a warp drive inhibitor so why the exception? coding? or intention?
Just something that made me curious.

I would say intended as the bubbles would by way too overpowered otherwise.

MWD's don't work in deadspace's because people could simply by pass the accel. gate and MWD to the finish on some missions. To prevent this CCP simply made them not work in deadspace's.
MWD's work in dictor bubbles because you are not creating a warp bubble. Think of it like lowering the mass of your ship and applying huge amonts of thrust behind it (even though the mass stays the same). ------------------------------------- Proud member of G Guild! |

Originally by: James Don why the exception?
Because in the games (as well as in Star Trek), logical background reasons don't have high priority.
So, bubbles are balanced and work pretty much as intended. If needed, someone can come up with some pseudo-science explanations later..

Warp scramblers don't affect MWDs either, they aren't really warp drives as such. ----------

Actually , what i don't like about bubbles (dictor ones at least) , is that u can log-off inside it and still be able to warp off , making them practicly ussles , other than that all cool

Edited by: Ramuh on 09/11/2006 11:38:08 T2 bubbles: ECM, Dampening, Nossing and Webbing bubbles... mmm - that stack on top of each other.
That sure would get rid of fleet blobs (IE all warp in together at same spot.

thats a good point too,
Fyi before this gets out of hand im not suggesting any changes, it was meerly pointed out to me and it got me thinking, but yes the fact that people can log out and warp away from any bubble is a pain in the ass.
