No because the ROF you get on officer cruise is insane and t1 cruise kick serious butt on missions. They allow you to maximize mission speed and on average are the fastest method to gain LP. I suspect that his firepower was beyond that of a CNR... or at least close to it. Can we have a list of the goodies that survived ?, it's quite rare that a ship this pimped out goes boom. If he was, the "method of takedown" would be f1-f8.
