I don't really think its a bug. You got run down, hehe ships come outa warp at a pretty high speeds.

well, if you want realism, should you not go *pop* if you get hit by another BS at those mad speeds? Right, realism is nothing for eve..

I love warping in, agter a indy and bump him 100km from the gate 
clagnuts> im drunk just come back from pirates night in spain , wtf i thought it was some eve guys getting together for a drink , turned out to be a feken real pirates show , doh |

Realism would be a warp navigation that doesn't drop ships on top of one another coming out of warp. Ships should have built in safety protocols. nStuff.. Because I said so nStuff. |

I feel the programmer would find a lot of pain and sufferring relating to the algorithm to find a decent spot to warp in. But then again, in the vastness of space, I don't think it would be too much of a problem to check the location and bounding spheres of other ships in the system and make sure you don't land on top of one.

they should put an option into the warp menu where u can chose how far away u want to come out of warp from that object..say 20/30/40km

Check Ships and Modules for the post by TomB - he says they are planning to introduce selectable warp-in points in an effort to force long-range combat.
