Are you all saying there is no lag?
And no node crashes?

The fact is, we have to put up with unstable servers and unplayable lag to the extent that would be completely unacceptable in any other game and yet very little is being done about it (although very much is promised, as usual).

Crappy Layout + Fake news = An obviously ****ty news organization.
2 million readers obviously think otherwise.
It is a tabloid.. but the most popular one (for tech news).

Makes sense, tabloids usually dont care too much about the truth, they should do something that absolutely horrible layout though.
Surely if the article is not true, CCP can sue the inquirer for defamation, if they are found guilty the damage award will be enough to buy hundreds of new nodes.

Originally by: Zissou That assumes 'The Inquirer' is worth taking legal action against and assumes that they'll have the funds to pay any damages awarded against them. I think not.
Who uses a word like 'fancypants' these days anyway?
Are you serious? 'The Inquirer' probably has 10x the profits of CCP

It's a pity they don't invest some of that revenue in qualified journalists.
They're in the business of pleasing their readers, not the companies they write about. And they're pretty good at it, too. I don't read news much but afaik by readership tech news websites go #1 slashdot and #2 inquirer.
And the journalist who wrote that article was qualified enough that the only piece in his article that can be disputed as untruth (the fancypants chatroom bit) is passed as 'generally agreed' i.e. opinion and not a fact, protecting himself from a lawsuit.

Well, I agree it's a crappy piece of writing and that the inquirer isn't as accurate as NYT or the economist. I was just trying to say that it was silly to dismiss a publication on a major website just because it was bad writing, the damage is done and potential subscribers are lost.
