Note that at 29.5% these gems are the ultimate pimp mod for your hauler, giving you a total of 29478m¦ cargo on an occator, or even better, 30539m¦ on an impel (lets you haul 3 capital components per trip!)

Its a common drop from one of the last aurora events of the last few days. Some badgers were killed there and they were hauling ec2's (or at least they all were fitted with them). There's now a bunch of expanded cargohold 2 items out there, they are on escrow in packs of 5 right now.
With invention coming, t2 items where no bpo is seeded, like this ec2, will get more common anyways. Thats the reason why half the world is now so busy selling their unique t2 stuff that will get quite common in a few weeks. :D
Oh, and please, don't tell us storys and lie to us if someone asked a valid question. :-)

Funny, I heard the T1 bpos were converted into T2, same for shield boost amp 2. In fact, someone said they'd seen someone link the bpo.
EDIT: Mate, I'm interested in getting some bpcs for ISS Fabrica, any chance of working out a deal with me for them? Do you have old bpcs kicking about that got converted too or was it just the bpos?

arent the stats on these reduced to 27.5% on sisi at the moment??? indicating a reduction in capacity once kali hits.

Correct, like most items.. best named will equal tech II.
local hull has been upped from 27.44 to 27.5% and tech II down from 29.5% to 27.5%
Don't forget also that rigs are ingame after kali that will give a 10% cargo increase (no stacking penalty) and itty 5 with 3 of those rigs gets like 27.5k (jetcan volume) cargo with beta's or lower even.
Enjoy the great 29.5% stats while they last.. Kali hits b4 tournament. so few weeks togo.

So if this is true, where do the people with the T1 bpo's that are now T2 bpos get thier T1 version to build the T2 version? If CCP didn't seed the T1 expander BPO for everyone, these guys have gotten the lotto winning of a lifetime.

I hope they dropped the speed penalty to 10m/s on the T2's then, I just slapped 6 of these things on an Occator and I'm not going anywhere fast.

The dev's blog I read on invention states that the tech1 bpo CAN NOT be converted into tech2 bpo.
Only the tech1 bpc can be converted into tech2 bpc with chance of failure (destroying most items other than one/few).
In the event of success 10-run tech1 copies do not convert into 10-run tech2 most likely either (can increase the chance of higher runs with some items).
You will not be able to choose a rifter bpc being converted into a specific tech2 counterpart jaguar or wolf (it is random).

It will be interesting to see what happens with cloaking devices though...hopefully the tech 1 ones will be randomly upgraded to either improved or covert ops and then tech 1 seeded.

Since the t1 cloak is in the game files on Sisi im pretty sure that is how itll work.

All the tech 1 bpo's for sba and cargo expander 1 have been upgraded to tech 2 , but copies are still tech 1. So you will see outrageous prices at first, then they will drop as the builders use up the tech 1 stock.. Once the tech 1 stock is used up , if that happens before Kali launch, then no more can be built as there are no tech 1 originals left now. Also, if the stats change on the expander 2, those who buy at 100 mil per get royally screwed as they lose more speed for only 70 mil purchase price over locals

Basic ECH BPO's were converted to ECH I Bpos. Looks like basics are phased out.
