Capsuleering: Part 1
"Contact me, ASAP. Lara", Horoc'h was still guessing who could have sent that mail. "Lara?", he murmered softly, "Who is this Lara?"
Three days later at the passengershuttle dock at the Santuary School, Lara welcomed him. "Good to have you back Horoc'h!", she spoke, while leading him away from the crowded shuttle terminals. Lara had been Lara Mesi, one of Horoc's teachers at the Sanctuary School. She was the kind of teacher liked by every single child in the classroom, but just as easily forgotten again.
Lara was still working with the Sisters, occasionally teaching at the Sanctuary School, Horoc'h learned from her. While walking fast to keep up with Lara, Horoc'h took another look at her. There was something mystical about her, allthough he did not know what it was. But he also knew, that as soon as he had seen her, he had felt like coming home, safe even... it made him feel foolish, as he did not even know her that well; it seemed to be a ridiculous feeling...
"So", Lara slowly spoke, "What do you know the about ancient spiritual lines?" Horoc'h immediately stopped walking. He knew Lara had always been into the old, mystical rituals... or at least, people had always said she was. Horoc'h could not see why she would ask him something like that, as those rituals generally regarded as ancient nonsense and in some parts of the universe even seen as blasphemy.
During the night, Horoc'h was dreaming of flying spaceship. But every dream would end the same, with the sterile white-coated doctor from the training centre contacting him over the com-system and Horoc'h ending up floating in space. As he told Lara the next morning about the dreams, the only thing she commented was "Good, that's something I can work with...".
After having breakfast at the coffee corner closeby, Lara told Horoc'h to go ahead towards the Sanctuary School, as she needed to get something from her office first. She would meet him there, she said. So half an hour later, Horoc'h was at the old Schoolquarters. They looked exactly the same as back in his days here, a set of post-modern looking buildings in the middle of the Botanical Gardens of the station. Most of the buildings were beautifully curved, sober buildings in different greenish, grey tones. On the left the youngest children were playing in the huge gardens, on the right the older students were visible in their classrooms. On the other side of the central plaza, the huge Chapel rose... one of the most beautiful buildings Horoc'h had ever seen.
Horoc'h walked towards the Chapel, as he knew Lara would need some more time to get to the School grounds. Inside the Chapel, he walked over to the Altar, and looking up, noticed that the huge dome of the Chapel had been redecorated... it was showing a beautiful garden now. Some sort of paradise, with no modern technology at all, and only two figures on it.
"Horoc'h, are you here", he heard Lara ask softly, "We've got to go now." Together they went over to an old, deserted laboratory, where they sat down on a small bench in the back of the room; and Lara began to unveil what she was told to unveil, with Horoc'h listening... only listening...
