Would have been far better to seed the T1 BPOs on the market, and give the owners of the original T1 BPOs a Max Run of the T2 BPO...I mean, FFS, the T1 had run it's course. Prices had stabilized...and now you've given them a ******* goldmine again. ------------------- |

Apparently, the BPOs kept the same ME/PE as the T1 version? Insult, meet injury.... ------------------- |

Can the OP put KALI, BREE, EVETV or FANFEST in the topic so that a Dev will look at it? Seems to be the only way to get a dev response anymore. ------------------- |

That the Devs aren't smart enough to say "Hey, we've seen the topic, but we are holding internal discussions on what to do/not do to address the situation. Once we come up with a proper, well-thought out response, we will make an announcement." ------------------- |

Yeah, that is the typical CCP response to something they don't want to deal with...lock the thread to make it go away, then delete the ones that come up afterwards. ------------------- |

Proposed Solution for Devs: Give the players that currently hold the Expanded Cargohold II and Shield Amplifier II BPOs(and any others that were magically converted) a 1000 run BPC of their respective item, and convert the BPOs back to T1 BPOs. The same goes for the Prototype Cloaking Device BPO holders, except make it 500 runs of Improved Cloaking Device II and 500 runs of Covert Ops Cloaking Device II...and change the build requirements of the Covert Cloaking Device II to use Prototype Cloaking Devices, and perhaps some more components equivalent to the ones used in the Improved Cloaking Device II to make up for the change.
After these changes are made, release the T1 BPOs onto the market in Kali 1. ------------------- |

Re: Seeding BPOs.
Players use T1/Faction until they have skills to use T2. Players will use T2 until they have skills to use T3, etc.
At most, the exclusive right to own the BPOs should remain for 3-6 months...in which time the BPO owners will make a nice amount of ISK (because we all know that there are players out there that MUST buy the latest and greatest)...but won't become insanely wealthy (i.e. no ISK printing machines). The BPOs get seeded on the market, then other people can come into the T2 production business.
This serves a multiple purpose. 1) It prevents the lucky few from getting insane amounts of ISK perpetually...2) It drives up the demand for T2 construction components, which drives up the cost of T2 construction components 3) Because T2 construction component prices are going up, more people will want to move to low sec/0.0 space to produce these goods to meet the demand, which will cause more conflict over areas of space, which will cause more ships to be lost, which will drive up demand for T2 items, which will increase the price of T2 construction components, etc.
I say this as an owner of several T2 BPOs, and producer of several others for other people. ------------------- |

We can't.
Trust could be restored if they respond to the community and then fix this ****up. ------------------- |
