I could not care less about the graphical upgrade tbh, i¦d prefer some
god**** server stability instead. So we can have those nice fights again
without nodecrashes or crap. You can have the most beautiful game in history,
but what good would that do if its unplayable at the scale that
the devs wanted to.

How many sillypants are STILL under the misconception that this has anything to do with Windows Vista and DX10? It was said in this thread before but this is THE DX9 Client.
There has not been enough progress on the DX10 Client for anything presentable yet. (At least according to Redundancy.)

I see a logic error in the iteron flames bit.
The flames curve upward...but they should just go outward.
No hot gas convection in a gravity well to force the hotter gasses upwards.

The ships look really cool and all, but can we get some better damge effects on the ships? More than just one fire on the hull would be nice. Maybe add some smoke or sparking, some decals of hull breachs, dents, and scratches. Please fix the fire and smoke from missles, it shouldn't rise like it does.

This is about making the game look as good as it possibly can on each and everyones computer. They are optimizing it all so that you can maximize your performance according to your computer specs.
Making it look better does not mean that it will run worse. In this case, it's actually quite the opposite.

The new GeForce cards run at around 3x the speed of current top-end cards.
The current besst Raedon can run oblivion at 25-30FPS in 2048 on Oblivion, the new GeForce runs over 60 FPS.

No word on sound engine, but that could really use an overhaul.

Haha dont let them fool you...
The graphics update was scheduled for ~February (DX10 and Vista) with Kali 3
Now we get Kali 2 and graphics updates at February.

Being defaulted to a media player without the option of r-click save-as is frustrating as hell. As well as pointless if we disable our media player.

Actually, EVE-Files is very good about that kind of thing. When you get to the download page it'll prompt you to rclick save instead of stream. In fact, my FF install autodefaulted to save rather than open.
