Sorry, but no.
What is sounding more and more desperate is your weak whining about how we win because we h4x, sploit and fight lame. Yet every time someone challenges you to come up with some proof or to make true on your smack ingame you fail to come up with anything at all.
But ok, I'll do the good cop thing for a bit then. Let's discuss this without personal attacks and talk about how lame we find eachother.
Your argument: BoB fight lame and cheat all the time.
My argument: No we don't, bring that abundant proof of yours.
Your counterargument: bleh, i have none, i was repeating the delusional crap I get fed by my masters again.
Conclusion: Your sauce is weak.
If you want us to stop being disrepectfull to you because of your constant whining, then try stopping the constant whining and take the beating like a man
As usual Rod you are the dillusional. There have been several examples of bob lameness in this thread. TS spies are the worst in my opinion. Just shows you can't win without out of game information.

Good. Bring the proof.
Show me where we exploited even one single time and we can talk. Show me where we lied about your leadership. Come up with one single example of BoB being "lame" apart from the TS spying that we in all honesty could discuss to kingdom come but which imo can only be seen as fair part of the gameplay.
Come on. Bring it. Don't be as lame and childish as the Cyvok's and Mccreedies of this world that will spout their nonsense "in private" to cover up the fact that they've been one single constant failure since this war began. And especially don't be another of those tinfoil hat fanboys spouting crap without ever, EVER, backing their **** up ingame or with any form of proof.
As long as we are kicking the crap out of your petty paperweight alliance on a day to day basis you can spout excuses and unfounded accusations as much as you want, but you'll only be making your own future worse by doing it.
You poor gullible nubs. This war is still not even half of what we could handle. We are slowly but surely removing your alliance from it's claimed space and we're doing it with one finger in our nose.
Instead of repeating the delusions spouted by some of the biggest wartime leadership disappointments in Eve history, I suggest you come out and do something about that.
Your use of TS spies is the only reason you are winning. It's easy to win when you know where the enemies fleets are and what they are up to. Too bad you guys can't win without your spies. One of many reason I can't stand BOB. That and all the childish members you have.
And you are so much more mature?

I wasn't there, but BoB does NOT do logontraps, period. We've had the same things said dozens of times before by every enemy that takes the easy way out that is accusing your enemy of cheating rather then simply trying to deal with your loss/losing. We don't need logintraps to get around your inadequate play. As said before, your scouts should try systems one jump top the side of the travel route too next time. It's a very basic roaming gang trick to hide your numbers by temporarily moving them into a system that's not likely to be scouted.
As to your members and the excuses they can come up with on the fly, we all already know how that story goes don't we ? I suggest putting less trust in the whining coming our of some of your alliancemates' mouths.
Why should or would anyone believe you. Just cause you say so? I think not. You guys are winning way too easily, even against ascn, for their not to be some sort of spying and login traps going on.

Bob freighter logging off
Jeez WTF are you guys on about. One pilot in BOB logged off, and I'm pretty certain that the leaders of the allience were not all that happy about it.
Finding one example in a group of a thousand players is nothing special to be honest. Heck I know BE had a screen of a Surpm member logging off to save his ship, and even though we had kicked him mounths before they still made a 7 page thread about it, heck it even came up a couple weeks ago again, since some people like to procliam thier unfounded moral superiority.
One pilot is not indicative of an entire allience
I put that in bold for the clueless, who prob won't get it anyways, but at least maybe will read it.
What is rather unnerving is the order, from a suprerior to log off ships to save them. That my friends is a lot differant then pulling a random screen shot of a single pilot doing it, and if you can't figure out why by your self I do feel a little sorry for you.
Who says the bob pilot wasn't ordered to log off. You defend bob without any proof of your own. And you wonder why people think MC are bobs slaves.

Exactly. So wtf is the point of this thread again?
The difference is whether you consider an FCs MO indicative of the command structure he is part of, or just his own. Each time a new recording of this that we come across, the more it seems to be a command decision passed down through FCs.
For the record, I was present when BoB lost their last freighter. Had ASCN spies been listening to our TS at the time, they would have heard target calling till there was no one left to fight. No command to log the freighter.
Also for the record, our last freighter was killed using the EXACT same technique as described in this thread (hiding in a system off of the main route). We copped it on the chin without accusing anyone of login traps or any other rubbish.
EDIT: As a note, I don't believe this thread should have been created. I understand the frustration that lead to its posting, but I could care less whether ASCN things we exploit or not. I take it as a complement that ASCN can only explain our level of ability away by using words like exploits and hacks.
Spying on your enemies TS does not make you good at pvp. It just means you are good at using questionable tactics. I'd love to see you guys in a fight that didn't involved you using a TS spy. Of course what I really don't get is why ascn hasn't clamped down more on their TS users. If you have to, break your gangs up into smaller gangs. This will make it harder for bob to get spies in every gang. Although I'm sure they will try their best. After all it's the only way they can win.

only one thing i don't get... your own member just realized and admitted it wasn't a log on trap and yet you are insisting it was... even after it was explained in detailes how your scouts failed to do a their job by Farjung...
makes me wonder how much more funny stuff ascn can provide...
I love Gob and he is the best FC I know, but he wasn't there. I was.
I'll repeat again:
Did you send a scout to check LG-WA9? (no)
Did you see us arrive at the R-ARKN gate in jump range? (yes)
1. No
2. I was in the freighter, I arrived a lot later, you were all over the place.
3. I saw lots of BoB login as I entered warp.
I was in the escort gang for the freighter gang that got hit by that AAA login trap some months ago, I know what it looks like when people do a login trap.
At least AAA have the 'decency' to admit it, why don't you? Its not like its an exploit according to CCP.
Also note that the whine from the OP is doubly rediculous if you take into account that BoB indeed has itself logged off freighters in the past, as admitted by a BoB member in this very thread.
Really, need I say more?
Sad
Youve just admited that you have no idea what happened and no proof other then some People in your address book logged on.
1) you didnt scout the system our pilots were in (you admit) 2) you werent on the gate so you have no idea what went on at the gate (You admit) 3) People logged on and you claim that was our pilots on the gate you arrived at who jumped in right after you. (You have no proof of that nor have you named names that popped up on your screen and how could you verify that were those pilots in that system? )
Ok you have been in a login trap by AAA, they are known for doing one but that does not make you an expert on what went on. Our members were waiting in a system you didnt check, they jumped in and insta'd to the gate to be sure to catch you. Poor escort and not enough scout coverege and you blaim us for using a lame tactic that we honestly didnt need due to your own mistakes. Next time read the map before jumping to conclusions. What weve done in the past has nothing to do with you accusing us of pulling a login trap. If a freighter pilot for BoB has logged off hes lame and should be spanked, I have no problems admitting my opinion on that. But tbh the issue here isnt the "omg they logged off a freighter" its more the "omg we are so uber they had to be using an exploit/lame tactic"
Now how about, giving the login trap accusations a rest and admit that you could have done a bit better and make sure you do better next time ? Im not saying you openly have to do it on these forums, just give it a rest and learn from it, putting blame on others teaches you nothing for when it happens again.
A bunch of bob members suddenly coming online in your address book is really all the proof you need. See the thing is people in your address book don't go green unless they just logged in. I still haven't seen an explaination from bob over this. They just keep playing the same paragraph over and over to try and explain it away.

If you are going to take the time to reply, please do a nested post with the bit your are replying to instead of the whole post, as well as putting up an articulated post rather than spamming multiple posts with one liners. If Bob is so uber in pvp, Then I ask them why can't they win without using TS spies or forum spies. Its one thing to use spies ingame. But to use out of game voice coms and forums, It seems Bob would stoop to any length to win . Now with log on traps and logging of to save your ship is with in the rules setup by CCP. BUT!! this is a dishonorable way to play the game. Lets see if bob can make a plege to stop using TS spies and forums spies. I bet they won't

How do you suppose they should only use spies "in game"? When you join a corp they give you their forums and say register and get access so you know whats going on. When you join a gang they say get on TS we're not dealing with people in a pvp gang that dont have it.
Corps require "out of game voice comms and forums" to operate inside the game. How long would you keep someone in your corp who refused to register on your forums or get on voice comms for pvp? Why? Because forums and voice comms are effectively part of the game for most corporations. Thus when your corp is infiltrated so is everything else.
So, if you want them to not spy on your voice comms or forums, simply stop using them as an alliance.

You know.. If I was in your position, I'd be more interested in knowing why ASCN leadership have avoided taking any steps to rectify the spy problem.
I mean.. What possible reason could they have for allowing the infiltration to continue? Surely they wouldn't avoid resolving the problem, simply so they could continue using it as an excuse for any failures that occur.

Sorry to interrupt the smack-fest-smack-down, but I'm curious about something I'm seeing mentioned here.
I know from my own experience that you get the green indicator when someone in your "buddy list" logs on. I've seen mentioned a couple of times in this thread that the ASCN pilots were saying in teamspeak that they were getting a lot of "green" in their address books.
Are they saying that they were seeing lots of BoB logging in while traffic in local was spiking at the same time? I'd never thought of using the "buddy list" or address book to keep track if when enemies were logging in and out. Is this pretty much standard proceedure, and is it a good way to detect whether you're about to run into a log-in trap?

Its not only used to track when your enemies log on, but many people put all hostiles in their address book as a way to see immediately in local if a known hostile appears. The green box shows up next to names in local.
So the "i'm seeing a lot of green in local" could be interpreted in two ways, one they saw a lot of people logging in, or they're seeing a lot of hostiles in local.

i mean - guys - now seriously...
what makes you belive that we brought up alts of BoB members to spy your forums and teamspeaks? i mean yes this is possible and very easy as i heard that ASCN is recruiting everybody and everything. so improve your recruitement tactics.
back to theme. what makes you belive that we sent spys to you?
i think its more likely that you guys have a lack of teamwork (an alliance with 4300 member brining up a 20men gang is a lack of teamwork). a lack of teamwork which results from what? that you are mostly carebears and carebears care for them self. so for people who are ambicious no real fun in eve. so why is it not possible that this people who are recording your TS and forum statements are not your members. members who joined ASCN - get flamed down to hell as noobs - and now hate ASCN that much that they only want to nerf you. and whats the best way for them as ASCM member to do that? yes - send information to the enemy
hey now really guys open your mind. the spy thing does not give any great benefit to the side that spys - it gives a good laugh thats mostly all the spy can make :)
nah... what i say has no sense at all im just giving you a thought that you can consider in the next TS meeting of your alliance.
-improve the way how you threat your member and you will have less problems in PvP, Teamwork, Spys etc.
huh? giving enemy tips ^^ -SIG-

Cba to read through all of the 5 pages of this topic.
So, let me get this straight.
BoB has inside intel of ''when and through where and how and with how many ships escorting and what those shiptypes are'' to catch a freighter, and DESPITE all that info (proved by the TS recording), you guys DONT manage to get that freighter? You look rediculous posting that, you know? Just shows that even with ALL of the info, you STILL dont manage to kill the freighter.. Cant stop laughing about that and that you even decided to post it

Edited by: BlackDog Rackh''am on 13/11/2006 04:23:57 Actually, i think the real questions in this thread are the following two:
1) How can ASCN be so sure it was a login trap? Simply seeing green names pop up doesn't cut it. You need a couple more things to verify a login trap.
First, are the numbers in local rising as you see the enemies logging in via the buddylist interface? Most importantly, can you confirm that the people who fought you in this engagement are the same people who just happened to log in? There are some ways to verify if they were indeed the same pilots.
Did you see their names in local, on your overview or on any killmails? You need to be able to 100% distinguish between a hostile guy named Average Joe logging in and killing your freighter, or wether he just happened to login 2 regions away. And finally, you need to have some proof (like screenshots) of all this before starting with the accusations, otherwise you won't have much leverage. Which brings us to the next question...
2) Seeing the screenshot of the BoB freighter that logged off and the contradiction between this and their official stance on the subject as an alliance, i'm sure the community as a whole would love to know if this pilot and his alts are still members of BoB.
Finally, as for this one...

Ab Initio, you seem to be one of the reasonable guys around here.
I'm sure you know better than me that it's nigh impossible to filter out the spies in the middle of a war. The only thing that will result from such an attempt is mass paranoia and increased mistrust between alliance pilots and/or corps.
So, if they don't filter out spies it serves the purpose of having an excuse for failing. But if they do try and boot them, it will make them even less cohesive as a fighting unit than they are now. Of course i can't be sure if you worded it this way intentionally. If you did, it's a cleverly constructed argument that plays in your favor no matter what they do, but a little too transparent
The only safety measure against spies is to prepare in peacetime by not recruiting everyone and their mother. In a war, best assume you are already infiltrated and act accordingly. In regards to membercount, we are one of the smallest alliances around (discounting alts i'd say no more than 100 people or so) and most of our members have known eachother since 6 months to more than a year and a half ago. Even so, we never learn more than what we exactly need to know...they just tell us an op is happening, say on Friday at xyz evetime, we assemble and get the first waypoint from the FC.

Put it this way,
The fleet along with the Freightor entered warp, I then heard the fact local was spiking on teamspeak and seen 6 people from BOB log on on my address book.
They claim they came in from the LG- gate.
I then heard on teamspeak. As said previously..
"Where are they?" ...then our fleet arrived on the R-AR gate "On this gate" "Which gate" "The gate we are going to"
Now, correct me if im wrong but as the 2 gates in the system are over 59AU away from the R-AR gate, and we were already in warp....how could BOB, jump in.....load....then warp to the gate and arrive before us?
