Devs said possible launchdate November 28th at the FanFest, yet to see if this goes final or not.

If its any later than the first week in december they should hold it until january so we dont have to spend the christmas period with even more of a lagfest

As above, 28th Nov.
If you read back through devblogs, there was a '40-day plan'. Depending on whether you used the Georgian or Julian calendars, the 28th falls awfully near to the end of those 40 days.
What this will mean though, is that the Alliance Tournament will be under Kali.

If the tourney is under kali, i feel sorry for those that wont have enough time to learn the new gang/fleet structure, how bonuses will now work, and the new skills that gang link users will have to learn to make their bonuses actually work. --

28 November is the date we are shooting for. It is true the next round of Alliance Championships will take place under the new Revelations, but those features are available for preview and testing on Singularity.

Wont you have lots of people on the test server trying new setups instead of testing other Kali features?
But yeah, it will be fun to see the new ships in the tournament for sure. :)

kieron, isn't this counter productive though?
The limited number of testing slots available on SiSi at the moment will just spend the next two weeks being used by people testing out Kali ship setups. Not actually testing bugs, etc, and other things that might be useful to the 148k subscribers who won't be a part of the tournament.

ahh but the skills for some of them are not yet seeded on SISI. Let alone seeded on TQ, such as the new leadership skills to make the new proposed gang structure work. --

Right now, the alliance tournaments are Level 5 skills. Check. Snake Implants: Check. Caldari Navy Raven: Check.
So with new rigs, combat boosters, and a myriad of skills, it will further test the mettle of all the alliances involved, so it doesn't feel like we're watching reruns on Eve TV.

Rigs and boosters are not allowed on tournament ships.
Tbh it is a bit lame that singularity is the only place to test tournament setups, and it may well cost those who dont (ab)use this server designed to test the new build, not people's tactics. ------------ ||| ----------

Don't worry Jim, I am sure when Kali goes up the chute in the first week, plenty of people will be asking the very same thing.
And I agree, the tournament will certainly be interesting with people fielding new ships.

Are the servers going to be up and ready on the 28ths or is that the planned date you intended to deploy the patch(which means we wont get to plau for 1-3days after)
