Maybe its just me but i would like to see an increase in the size of the planets. I know that the textures are slightly crap but with the new graphics update that will all be fixed(hopefully). But even so they seem a tad small, maybe its just because you dont really get that close to them.....

They are tiny scale wise. This is really noticable with some when you pull your camera right back and can actually move it to the other side of the planet.
I have the body of a supermodel. I just can't remember where I left it.

not the only thing that isnt to scale....i noticed yesterday that giant cans seem to be bigger than badgers, which considering i can fit 2 inside my badger doesnt seem to make sense to me.....

I cant help it I look at the sexy planets in the likes of X3 and know that if our planets were scaled up it would just add to the immersion

I agree. EVE needs a good rescaling. Make the planets their proper sizes dimensionally and fix the industrials and carriers so they actually look as big as they're supposed to be.
And change the control towers so they get launched as little folded in packages that unfold while anchoring.

"Thats not a starbase, its a transformer!". It would be nice to have something to watch while waiting, but the novelty will wear off quickly :/ _______

They should move some stargates and stations right up close to plannets, so when you warp to them, the plannet fills up a good 50% of your screen.
Think the second mission in Homeworld 2.
Get some decent textures down, high res with cloud cover and things start to look much nicer.

They are overhauling *all* textures for Kali 3, but no rescaling as far as i've seen. Start whining! :P

I agree, all items should be placed closer to planets so they fill a good portion of the screen, i saw a vid with a fleetbattle right near the surface of a planet..it was insanely awesome (it was a magma planet) ---------------------------

Have you not realized the distance you are when you warp to a planet, this might have something to do with it. You cannot easily work out the size of the planet from just looking at it. --

Ever tried flying up to a planet in an interceptor? You can still see curvature when you're right at the surface. That can't be right. --------------------------------------------------------------------

You know that planets are just bubbles with textures and infact, they are pretty much as big as POS bubble is. Fly against one and you will see shield effect.
They are WAY too small. Make planets AND moons 4x more bigger than they are now! "It's great being Amarr, ain't it?Ö"

I imagine scaling up is something that could come with re-texturing.
ATM, you can't scale the planets up because the textures would just look plain aweful that big. If they had shiny new textures, it'd be a different matter.
Worry about the scale of Capital ships first, though- they're just silly -----------------------------------------------

personally I would rather see asteroid belts that encircle the sun. Where you would need to really make a home in a system in order to mine it by flying to get to new belts.
I would like to see commets and random movement of stuff from time to time.
But yah planet resizing would help as well.

Yeah turn belts to be like ours in our solar system and then put 4 warp-in points. up-down-left-right. After that, people have to cruise along the belt and make BM's for their mining spots. Finding rare minerals there and harvesting them would have a totally new meaning. Finding NPC hideouts ... rouge drones and plexes. Imagine EVE like that. Only ONE belt and everything on that BELT. Imagine noobs hunting there and pirates praying upon them .
THATS EVE what I want! (Right after planet scaling, ofc00z) "It's great being Amarr, ain't it?Ö"
