/me agrees with OP. If you're gonna randomly spawn it, make it between 1 and 24 hours. there wouldn't be any harm in a complex not respawning some days, but as it is, Australians get downtime smack bang in the middle of their evening playing time, and then won't be able to run complexes.
I'm English by the way, so don't give me that 'moan moan you Australians want everything your way' crud .
dumping the plex state at DT and using random respawns on individual entities would worl well too. a marker which penalises people based on timezone seems to verge on discriminatory

at the end of the day... ( no pun ) dont matter when they have it respawn as it will be "nerfing" someone somewhere on earth...
I say ppl should be able to run that complex once a day.. IE once i run a serpentise drug wharehouse thats it for me. no can do anymore that day. -

CCP ... how about you statically dump the plex entity state at downtime, restore it at node restart, and thus respawn the npcs and overseers at close to their normal rate, whatever that was, rather than using DT as an arbitrary world restart marker.

Not to mention Western Europe- DT falls dead center to the working day- no chance of getting in there until after work, some 6 hours later. -----------------------------------------------

CCP being lazy buggers again instead of full randomisation - ok CCP how about this each hour there is a % chance of a respawn of key factional officer etc spawns
Just stop using dt as a reboot factor its getting lame

 I got it, let's slip the game into 5 severs with DTs that match thier prime times! 1. US and A 2. UK and who cares about the rest
sorry just kidding. Everyone gets nerfed some how so just learn to live wwith it or go play something esle.
Since I am a solo care bear player I play what CCP gives me. You learn and adapte or ????????????????

When I heard "nerf, complex, Australian" Coming from an Australian in the tone of a whine I nearly peed myself.
I have never been able to complete anything over a 6/10 after living in 0.0 almost a year. Welcome to balancing(somewhat).
In fact is you ask me the 1-5 hours isnt nearly enough. It needs to be totally random.....then we can see who really doasnt have a life

CCP still havent figured out how to shift from dt related respawning to a 24 (23) hour hourly cycle. Or some other perhaps weekly averaging cycle

This change will affect everybody but the people it needs to affect the most, and that's the alarm clock corps who will try and farm it no matter when it spawns.
The only way to stop them is to introduce a mechanic that prevents any character from accessing any complex more often than a nominated period of time, say, once a week.

1-5 hour window means complexes spawn between 5am and 10am my time. Sorry if i dont feel any sympathy...it was hard enough getting to run a complex for me...at least the second spawn time around 10-11pm my time was dependable....still awefully late for a weekday with a 9-5 the next day.
This change makes it worse for me on both counts. I still wont be around most of the time for the morning spawn, during week is work, and even getting up early on saturday at say 8am is no guarantee, but now the evening spawn will be simply later a 1-5 hour amount, putting it well out of reach even on weekends.

I'd love one good reason that doesn't involve an isk farmer being inconvinienced. Make them ALL move and spawn at random systems/times.
THAT alone seems fair to me. 1-5 hours after dt? This will do nothing to solve the issue of them being farmed / only one person/corp/alliance gets to it before the others ever can.
Even the 1-23hours is MUCh better than 1-5. Totally random or scrap it. No one has given a good reason to not randomize everything about them.

I wish complexes were completely random tbh.
Alliances fighting to control them is stupid.
I wish CCP had the balls to police their game. They probably prefer the income to having a decent game. |

lol reminds me off when i played FFXI! there were some mobs that would only spawn 1-2 x a month and it was possible to determin when they would respawn give or take a few hours.
so there was always a big battle between the asians and the americans to bring the mob into there timezone by tanking the mob for upto 12 hours to shift it into there timezone
