You've heard of IRC before, right? Well, EVETV has its own channel on the irc.coldfront.net server, in #evetv. People are always full of vim and/or vigor, and sometimes, like an excitable puppy, they can chew on the furniture. Because of this, we need a trusted few people to become Operators in the channel. Your duties would include:
Maintaining a modicum of law and order during everyday hours.
Answering questions about EVETV to those who join the channel seeking answers.
Set an example with your sterling behavior.
Keep discussion on topic while there is a live broadcast.
You will of course be given status to do this, which'll make people think you're SuperCoolÖ.

I put my name in the hat too, and hope that spiralJunkie will unnerf me(He nerfed me, after last tournament, when i under the nick "Chadk" was this evil moderator, and had 1203912381295125 convo's asking HOW i got op, and if i were from CCP(And if people could have free isk) ).

I will be applying once I get off of work, I can't get to my home e-mail at this time so just will wait. I have been OPing IRC for Stratics.com for almost 4 years now so plenty of experence professionally, but I've been using IRC for almost 10 years+ Looking forward to seeing how things pregress with the IRC channel and EVETV as a whole.

I think the general thought is, "I'd rather be watching the awesome footage and commentary than babysitting people watching the awesome footage and commentary" :P.

haha true, but this way you can watch the stream then abuse the people in irc! :D
