Invention isn't anti-monopoly. It's things moving forward. T2 will become cheaper and more common. They will make invention easier with time. Remember one day T2 will be standard and we'll be fighting over T3 research. CCP are more or less getting this right.

I've heard two different things so far. In a recent Dev Blog it was mentioned that T2 items were going to become the baseline very soon, yet Dark Shikari claims he has seen another blog where CCP claims that they will never seed T2 BPO's on the market.

How exactly is T2 supposed to become the new baseline or the "standard" if they are still controlled by a few ridiculously wealthy individuals?

There's no correlation in the logic here.
