hi peeps. i have been looking into the client for memory leaks etc. i have found a few problems and they have been fixed by the correct person. in general the client is running better on kali (no comments about server lag, it's being looked into) but i want to know where people are getting or think they are getting memory leaks on TQ atm.
thx

ok , there was a slight problem npc's atm. they was cauing a slight leak on the client, this has been fixed. only problem with them at this time is they use alot of cpu on the server, it is being looked into why this is happening.
there was a problem with missiles, basically when they disappear from the UI they remain in the client, this is fixed now. but this had no effect server side.
i am looking into the market, i haven't found anything yet but it could have been fixed as a result of 1 of the other fixes.
but this is kinda my second task in life atm, the main goal atm for me is the server issues and lag we are having.
the client in general is running alot better, it's only using memory as needed and it is releasing it as it should. i am still looking into it, just need any information people can give me.

Originally by: Commander Spectre Man go out an buy a couple new hamsters for the crappy test server ya got or something. I can't get in most of the time and when I do, (after an hour or 10 of cussing and stupid notices saying 100 people is all it can handle...cheap), I'm lagged so bad I can't do anything.
And traffic advisories are just making it worse. They pop up constantly adding even more lag. Who was the idiot that came up with that? Kick him in the head for me will ya? If you take out all of the unnecessary notices in the game I bet lag will be cut in half. Who even cares if a gate 75 jumps away is closed anyways? I suppose if you were there you'd figure it out when ya got to it.
So buy a hamster or another blade server that can handle more than my old 98 compaq that I use for a doorstop or something.
the test server is getting 10 more nodes added to it. so it's getting an increase from 10 nodes to 20 nodes. but however, i will state that we are not increasing the hardware on sisi to ignore the lag issues on the server. the new hardware isn't being added til the lag problem is solved.

yesterday we put sisi back onto dragon and had a large fight. then we done the same with kali. the main reason for this was to test the server and try to find out whats wrong with it. me and zulupark was watching the client very closely during this and we noticed alot higher fps and much lower ram usage in kali than in dragon. also we are still looking into the leaks and trying to find any, i was just wondering how other people are finding the client now, is it much better in general and are people getting a higher fps ?
