- Game documentation. There are many hidden aspects of EVE that we who have played the game for a while take for granted. Then, suddenly, a feature changes and you miss where it is written in patch notes.
- Dynamic ship description. Sometimes a ship has it's bonuses changed. Sometimes it's just a matter of someone accidentally editing the wrong line of code. Regardless, the ship description is outdated! Bonuses to a ship should be added in dynamically, so that when the Ishtar had it's bonus changed from 10% to 5% it'd show and that when Carriers received their CPU reduction to Drone Control Units, it'd show up a new line telling players this.
- Starbase clarification and documentation. The documentation on Starbase arrays, costs, benefits, etc. is very, very, poor to say the least. Non-existant is more accurate. Exactly what does an Efficient Refinery Array give as benefit? Do we trust age-old patch notes or do we trust the module description? These are the sort of questions you need to answer in detail.
- Racial conceptualization. Less diversity, more focus and specialization is the key. Each race do not need to have a viable close range OMGWTFPWN, nor do they all need ships suitable for sniping. Pronounce each race' strengths and weaknesses much more than currently.
- Battleship overhaul. The current line of battleships have potential, but years of tweaking and late addition of the third tier has left them sorely wanting in terms of internal balance - there are several cases of overlapping designs which needs adressing.
- Starbase uninvulnerability-zation. Double negation and word-invention aside, Starbases need to come to a full stop as a safe spot (see my signature) and enter the realm of viable mixed ship combat. Defences should be focused on manned anti-siege.
- Starbase cost increase*. Each Starbase needs to become more valuable and costly (both at the same time). In order to adress the issue of a stagnating fleet combat system in EVE where Starbases become military installations in an (counter) invasion manner, the cost of maintaining military structures need to increase while the benefit of maintaining logistic modules should be increased.
- Omni-tank fix. Certain ships suffer greatly from the current omni-tanks. Essentially: boost specific, passive, tanking modules, make omni modules active modules, and add a 3% bonus to active modules on the compensation skills. Omni tanking should be reserved for ships that lack fitting space, a sort of economic solution.
- Drone AI. When drones are given a target, they'll stick to it. When drones are told to move somewhere for whatever reason, they'll MWD there. When sentry drones are launched, they shall orbit the host at all times, regardless of task assigned. Fighters, having an actual pilot, should return to host if severely damaged, unable to reach destination (force fields), or left abandoned (disconnects and subsequent reconnects) - this may even include emergency docking procedures.
- Laser crystal EM:TH ratio fix. Every even numbered crystal, if you count from highest damage crystal, deals slightly too much EM damage. Radio crystals deal only EM damage. Crystals should deal as much EM as it's hybrid charge counterpart deal Kinetic.
And a feature request for those rare lazy hours when you've not got anything else to do: Mine fields - deployable like mobile scrambling bubbles with a detection radius slightly shorter than explosion radius. Semi-intelligent target selection (doesn't blow up your own corp/alliance mates) but does react to huge gravitational fields that are too close (slightly farther than detection or explosion radius, objects include gates, stations and other mines so that there will be tight navigational paths inside the mine field) - EVE is sick. |
