From dec 2007 to today, 6.3 mil players popped in highsec to mission rats, this compared to 7 mil players popped to blobs in null. That figure includes the 3.4 mil pods popped, which, btw, it's safe to assume, is from pvp (pod in a bubble, lulz), since rats don't pop pods.
People lose boats in pve to mission rats all the time, some of them very expensive too, worth hundreds or even thousands of pvp boats each. Most people get the idea that pvp is what drives the Eve economy, when in fact it's pve. Pvp is barely a blimp on the radar as far as the economy goes. |

Also, a third of those deaths are from newbie missions and lvl1s, leading to minuscule losses.
So no, PvE does not drive the EVE economy. GÇ£If you're not willing to fight for what you have in GëívGëí you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.GÇ¥

At least two lokis, legion, fleet tempest in mission, fleet tempest in live event, mach, fleet Armageddon are most notable.
I tend to test things example loki with dcu II and med booster for tank(not even shield sub) hit angel extra bonus room and things go wrong from time to time :)
Oh i lost regular pest when inc first come out. |

Of the large BS sized hulls that's significant mineral sinks, 162k out of 170k Raven kills, and 100k out of 126k domi kills are from pve. The suicide gank boats, such arty Apocs and Brutix, didn't even make the pve kill list, nor did blob favorite BSes make the total/pvp list. None of boats that did are usable for ganking. Concord kills likely isn't as big a factor on total pve kills as you made it sound.
Btw, where did you get the info a 3rd are from lvl1s? The only clear thing is that 3.5 mil of pod kills are in that pvp category, which is already dominated by cheap bcs and frigs. |

Lost a Gila once. Wasn't paying attention, sentries popped a couple of triggers in a row, got scrammed and so badly damped I had trouble locking the scramming frigs.
Nearly lost an Ishtar in worlds collide - got full room aggro in the last pocket. The trouble with cruiser hulls is they don't last long if you get in trouble. Battleships can hull tank for long enough to kill the frigs and GTFO. |

I lost a revelation once in a lvl5 (years ago). The mission was the 3rd part of the big sting series, had 2 npc carriers so I decided to be a smartass and just drop a dread in there. Sadly I underestimated the dps of 60+ npc fighters. Went back with a smartbombing carrier to kill it all and scoop my own loot but that had to be the saddest way to lose a dread. |

Was very drunk and decided to do a mission - fell asleep and next morning restarted eve;
Golem lost - 2x CN invul, CN BCU's pithi med booster - at the time must have been about 2.5bn + and clearly the wreck had gone- and I'm NOT a rich player - so grinded again (luckily the corp I was with built Golems so I just supplied the mats) and then about 2 months later did the same and lost another Golem - though not similar mods. Not a happy bunny.
Moral of the story - I don't drink anymore !! |

I let Captain Morgan take my legion for a spin one night; he and I were both pretty sure we could tank the scramming/webbing frigs along with the rest of the room. He and I were both pretty wrong. It was all kinds of faction and deadspace fit, too. |

4%, if BS hull is equal to pods and rookie ships.
Speaking of rookie ships, if you compare final blow stats by ship type posted in devblog on 12/2 (with rookie ship kills) and those posted in forum on 12/4 (without rookie kills), it would appear rookie ship kills are just about entirely accounted within the difference, in the pvp kill category, mostly through cane, vega, and interceptor. http://www.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&nbid=3235 https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=464085#post464085 It makes sense, as I doubt many ppl run missions in rookie ships. But lots of people fly it on their disposable alts. |

Super powered summer time jamming strength of guristas.
This made me rage quit pve. I had also lost a 3bil tengu + 1.5bil implant clone whilst alt tabbed out scanning down some dude in a claymore. The account is now unsubbed. lol
Having now joined gallente militia, I have realized... this will never end, what with caldari rats being shitfaces. So i'm hanging up anything pve related, casting it aside, in favour of actually playing the game, instead of buffing my wallet. :)

Those rookie kills are from pvp kills of scout alts, not because ppl run missions in rookie ships. CCP did not post clarification on how many rookie ships are pvp and pve kills, but you can figure that out indirectly. I quoted CCP pvp kill stats with and without rookie kills, posted 2 days apart. But you conveniently edited that out of the quote.
Rookie kills are inflating pvp kill count, even if you don't admit it. That aside, it's safe to at least assume the 3.5 mil pod kills are by players, ballooning the pvp kill category. |

I've lost a total of four Machariels:
First one due to thinking that the C-5 shield recharger I put in was a XL type and not the Large one. Got scrammed and watch the room slowly eat me alive.
Second one lost when lost situational awareness and got hung up on terrain, drones popped a trigger, eaten alive.
Third one, ninja showed up and tripped the triggers for Lulz and I didn't catch what had happened in time. Webbed and scrammed while served on toast while the ninja laughed his @$$ off at me in local.
Fourth one, client froze, I could still hear combat going on but could not interact. By the time I was able to restart the client and get back logged on I was in a pod. A few minutes later there was a reboot of the server. Petition filed and I was issued my first 'our logs show nothing' reply. Near as I can tell drones popped the triggers and I was scrammed and never got an e-warp, but the logs would show my drones still fighting. (this was the day after I lost the third one, so it stung... a lot).
Something like 4.5 to 5 billion isk in losses.
