Rules/details follow:
* All bets must be sent to the character Ombeh Zombeh (Omberokoku corp). It's my alt.
* All bets must have the Alliance name you are betting on as the comment (in cases where alliance tags are similar, try to make it obvious which one you are betting on)
* All bets must be recieved by 13:00 eve time on the 1st December (1 hour before the first fight), anything after that will be considered a donation to the prize pool
* Bets must be in multiples of 1mil, anything extra will be added to the prize pool (so, if you send 1.5mil, 500k will be considered a donation)
* You can bet on as many teams as you want, it's your isk, i don't care.
* I will be taking a cut of 5% for myself for the deal of running the betting pool
* The teams that come 3rd and 4th will also recieve 2.5% each.
* Payouts to winners will be done within 24hours of the event ending
How it works:
Everyone sends in the isk and the team they are betting on to win the championship. All the isk goes into one large pool to be won. Those that bet on any of the losing teams win nothing. Those that bet on the winning team get a percantage of the total pool as their winning prize, based on the amount bet on that team.
an example:
Otherworld Empire wins the competition (unlikely, but possible)
there is a grand total of 1bil in the pot
Seleene bet 10mil on Otherworld Empire
Blacklight bet 5mil on Otherworld Empire
DigitalCommunist in a fit of insanity bet 85mil on Otherworld Empire
the payouts should this eventuate would be:
Seleene gets 90mil
Blacklight gets 45mil
Digi gets 765mil
I would get 50mil as the person running the pot, 3rd place would get 25mil, 4th place would get 25mil
If you have any questions, post here, if not, start sending the isk to Ombeh.

The wise Shin Ra mentioned in another post that Omber Zombie could possibly do a seperate betting pool just for who will win Group F... That would be an awesome idea, I'd drop some isk on that 
If 2 teams advance with identical records in Group F the pool would be split evenly perhaps...

Shin, as usual ccame up with a good idea.
Since it is "THE GROUP OF DEATH" (capslock is cool) I will open up a seperate pool for it. According to LeMonde it is the top 2 teams that advance, so...
to bet on it you need to send isk to Ombeh Zombeh with the following in the comments:
GroupF 1 - to bet on IAC & MC going through
GroupF 2 - to bet on IAC & Terra going through
GroupF 3 - to bet on IAC & Red Skull going through
GroupF 4 - to bet on IAC & Xelas going through
GroupF 5 - to bet on MC & Terra going through
GroupF 6 - to bet on MC & Red Skull going through
GroupF 7 - to bet on MC & Xelas going through
GroupF 8 - to bet on Terra & Red Skull going through
GroupF 9 - to bet on Terra & Xelas going through
GroupF 10 - to bet on Red Skull & Xelas going through
(I think that's all the possible combo's)
this pool is seperate to the main pool, and will only get a 5% admin fee rather than the normal 10%.

I think that should actualy be at 14:00, since the first match is at 15:00.
(and my bets went in at 13:30 and I'd really like them to count  )

Presumably he keeps it. Thats the way RL bookies work.

I prolly should have mentioned it earlier, but yeah - if no-one bet on the team that wins, I keep the iskies. I think that's a highly doubtful situation tho.

A few people have mentioned that they either: a) forgot, b) freaked out at group f, c) had no isk to bet due to buying kali stuff, as the reasons for not betting on this tourney. They also mentioned that now that thngs seem tohave calmed down a little, their annoyed they don't get the chance to bet. So, in light of this, I may set up a seperate pool for next week. That pool will have a completely seperate prize to the current one, so anyone that has already put isk in can effectively bet twice if they think they are on a good thing. The only difference, is that the 10% fee that would normally apply to the second pool will still be there, but rather than go into my pocket, would go into the first prize pool's pot.
The reason I say I'm considering this is because I'm still not sure if it's in the right spirit to open up a secondary pool, so I'm wondering if the people that have bet in the pool would let me know their thoughts - yae or nay.

I think you should take bets for matches and perhaps bets for groups, not so sure about bets for the whole thing now, otherwise you would have to start working out odds and crap like that.
