I've checked Egghelende, Amamake, Rancer, and Yong. Haven't seen any camps over a period of a few days. Is piracy dead or are any systems regularly camped anymore?

You have good timing. even tama is safe to fly through at a certain time of day.
Hysera where I currently reside will vary in its Carebear to pirate ratio depending on what time of day it is.
In the morning there will be a dozen in the evening there will be none.

I was in amamake last night - there were 12 people in system and I was the only one with a negative sec rating.
I was running a mission. I do that a lot now since I'm all poor and stuffs. -- If by some chance I managed to kill you, I can assure you it was purely luck. |

I am only on a trial account right now. But what I really like from reading these forums is not knowing if this post is a trick to convince miners etc. that these regions are now safe or if they really are safe or if this news will bring more pirates there.
This is what I like so far about Eve. Never knowing the truth (except for your own truth).

Don't go there, never. As long as there is no extremely strong antipiracy - alliance reclaiming those important transit systems for the public they are simply no - go - zones, nothing else.
Except for fast transit and a few odd agents in the surrounding systems there is nothing of value there anyway. This systems can be circumvented by about 15 - 20 jumps through much safer territory without beeing bullied by the so called "Pirate Coalition".

I feel offended here. As a former member of pirate coalition, I must beg to differ. We quit PC after it became perfectly clear that the alliance wanted millions of isk a month for membership. Keep in mind, this is after a number of wars in which PC consistently refused to help its member corps.
You aren't weeding out lazy pirates. In fact, in the IAC war, Black Fleet and Red Navy had the most IAC kills. I'm not sure what PC is doing, but it is something entirely different than "weeding out the lazy pirates."

This isn't the place to discuss this but the tax that was proposed was simply to induce a move or gtfo for all the corps that refused to move. We wardeced IAC because they were smacking and blobbing wherever there would be sentry guns to aid them. It wasn't for a concentrated offensive on them it was just so you guys who were having problems with them could attack them any and everywhere

You are right. Totally not the place to discuss this, but since I was called a "lazy pirate" (not directly, but its implied)...
I already lived in the same area as most of PC, and they never came to help, once, when we asked.
Although Skywalker and Saguine Legion did come to the SoT area on their own (appreciated mind you) when they weren't asked.
The whole IAC comment was to point out two things. One, we aren't lazy, we engaged IAC everywhere when the war was declared, and were responsible for most of the IAC kills. Two, during that war, we got camped a number of times and asked in alliance for help. Nobody even responded even though there were 80+ people in alliance chat. All this meaning, why the hell would we pay 100 million a month to be in an alliance that not only doesn't help out their member corps, but doesn't even respond with a "we can't right now" when asked?

Pirate Coallition frequents the systems you mentioned...and Pirate Coallition have recently concluded a week-long wardec against the CVA.

There is a delicious irony here. You look at the PC killboard and the corps that left are the top belt pirates. The "non-lazy" pirates that remained are the stab whoring gatecampers. =============================================== And Scoundrelus walked the Forums once again, and all was turned to flame... |

heh, nice one and your the smack talking *e*ar* on the forums right ?
As far as the corps that left PC. Well, IMHO they were startup wannabes who were in it to be blue. Well.. enough of that BS, we want to kill people not hug them.
End of story
edit: btw I dont gate camp anymore, I do all my pvp at safespots on 1 vs 1 basis in equal ships flown by similar aged players only. It's fun fun fun I'll tell ya!
