There is no civil war we are simply weeding out the pirates who don't want to blob up in one area and/or pay to finance someone else's PVP, that is all.
Fixed. But no civil war for certain. Civil discord, but no war. _

I flame no one. No corporation that has left Pirate Coalition over the new "come to one place or pay tax" policy has any malice towards the corporations that stayed as far as I know. They (and we) just didn't want to follow orders and be good little soldiers. We wanted to be pirates.
Oh, but to answer the OP's question. We're around. We're working hard. We're earning. We gotta save up for those pretty new toys we'll be wanting in a couple of weeks. Coming soon to a system near you and all that. _

Sorry to be OT, but here we go.
Dude, do you think any alliance want some lazy asses that don't want to come and help under a war / big OP in an alliance?, no, the lazy ones don't belong to an alliance. And this comment is to all those corps that left Pirate Coalition because they couldn't work as a team together.
And that's the reason we made that "come to one place or pay tax" policy to the alliance so we can do something in this alliance together. And not just to be around to get a NAP in this alliance.
And we want to be a very strong pirate alliance, not a poor alliance that can't defend our self against an alliance that is a lot smaller than we are. And to be strong, we NEED to work together.
That was my words.

We left and immediately a gank squad came around trying to take us out. Then a few hours later, about 8 dif corps contacted me about forming a new alliance against PC (corps still in the PC atm). It won't be a civil war, but it'll be something.

I'm sure you're going to be real strong when you've cut half your numbers and made them into enemies. I also think it's funny that only a few corps have actually decided on being a part of the "core" group. I can bet you that the rest are waiting it out until they get taxed. I had no ill-will towards the PC when we left, but being attacked immediately after leaving when I even offered to stay neutral to them, left a bitter taste in my mouth. You may have lost a 'lazy pirate' but you've gained an enemy for life.

Well we have a lot more than a few corps signed up for the core group atm, but i can't tell how many atm.
And what's better for a pirate than having a lot of targets?
More targets = more fun

I'm sure they have, good luck getting a bunch of pirates together, living together, mind you, to "do alliance ops." I believe it when I see it.
Quote: And what's better for a pirate than having a lot of targets?
In order for this to work for Pirate Coalition, you will need everyone within 3 jumps of eachother, otherwise, calls for help will be ignored. I'm sure 500 pirates all living within three systems of eachother will make for a whole bunch of targets
The reality is though, that so many people will leave PC before this move takes place, you might actually get... more targets... and probably have earned some new enemies too.

There is still a good chunk of pirates up in the lowsec near Abhan in the Genesis region and down in the lowsec around the Derelik region I've noticed as well. So I'd hardly consider pirates a dissapearing profession. Though some certainly seem to be getting abit better organized..
Bad news for us non pirates

Otsasai, Nalvula, and Jan in Lonetrek frequently have pirates camping them or running through the belts. There was a three-battleship camp in Nalvula earlier tonight, and what happened in Otsasai was just...lol
Basically, there was a pirate raven camping the gate. A couple of us engaged him, and his stabbed ship warped off. Then he told me in local that I was a marked man, so I said to myself, "Alrighty, then." I warped my vagabond to the station where I happened to have another ship docked, switched to it, undocked, then told him to feel free to try to make good on his threat and told him where to find me. He never showed up, but his pirate friends in a revelation and moros did. Luckily for me, I was in my phoenix and had some buddies in nos ships nearby...
End result: revelation docked in structure, and the moros docked without firing a shot. Then they logged or jumpcloned out.
Props to them for being willing to attempt to pirate me, though. -Wrayeth "Look, pa! I just contributed absolutely nothing to this thread!" |

I was hunting in Amamake earlier today and doing okay. I was sitting slightly off planet 5 just chilling out talking to my wife about something and then I see this firetail pop op on my overview about 200km out (I think it was a firetail anyway, might have been a comet.) I'm in my Jag so I figure "why not?"
Suddenly, an amazing blob of like 15 or 16 ships from different (seemingly non-affiliated) corps warped in. It was like that scene in Serenity when all the Reavers showed up. I was like "ZOMG blob!" My trusty Jag was going to be meat soon and I knew it. I had no backup to speak of anywhere close and it wouldn't have saved my ship anyway.
So I guess Amamake is still going strong. There was a Huginn on that lossmail - WTF? That's almost as bad as my one corpmate who belt pirates in a Vulture. Good stuff. -- If by some chance I managed to kill you, I can assure you it was purely luck. |

First of all why post with an alt ?
Is there any embarrasment in you wishing to convey your thoughts regarding the restructuring of pirate coalition?
Perhaps if you feel so strong on the subject creating a new thread instead of trying to hijack this one might be more in order.
Pirating for the most part is nomadic for various reasons including overfarming, attracting too much attention from anti pie wanna bees etc.
Have no fear tho some of the most lucrative systems we visit are noted and are returned to on a regular basis. Once the local fauna has had a chance to recover first of course

I FULLY supported the restructuring and new tax that was put in to place. The whole point was that you didn't need to pay the tax if you worked together. Tbh a lot of the corps that were in the PC were there just because they wanted to have the pretection of the label of the alliance. I spent hours arguing and debating with people over why it was a good idea and questioning people as to why they wouldn't work together - why they wouldnt read alliance mails, respond, act, come to ops planned months in advance. No-one gave a feasible answer. I don't hold any grudges against anyone, but when corps started leaving (mainly after new tax idea) because noone would respond to calls for help )pre-new tax) it was crazy - I mean ffs thats what the new policy was there to sort out. I had numerous arguments about the new tax and people wouldnt just use some common sense, read some alliance mails and just admit they were WRONG. Skywalker is a very good leader and he put a lot of effort in, but when only an extremely small handful would even consider cooperating it's unbelievable.
Anyway, moving away from the past, I hope the Pirate Coalition has evolved and is now achieveing what it set out to do a little more. Certainly some very good pilots in there.

lets see low sec pirates with the latest patch ran out of targets as their targets ran to 0.0 or high sec depending on how they were nerfed with kali 1 they all joined big alliances and corp for protection
Then privateers came along - now the low sec pirates are joining us realising that with us we have 30 current decs with 50 planned each week. No longer loosing sec status they can bash and crash their way aroudn empier shooting everyone in sight and at a profit and fun manner.
We have had several merc and pirate organisations join us and they fund the alliance decs to madness has arrived in eve we welcome everyone to privateers fun to be had by all
