I have a number of friends that started the game, played on/off for 1-2 years or so (one was back in 2008 I think) then decided the game was not "for them", and let the accounts become inactive. I considered the idea of taking one of more of those inactive toons and actually using them (if the skills are half decent) as alts for mining/scouting/cynos/etc for the following reasons: * none of the toons will have more then maybe around 10 million SP, but 10 mill is still a lot better then none. * they are not being used and the owners have no attachment to them either for future use or Isk (as they were just "testing the game"), and they won't (likely) play EvE ever again, so they are basically "free" other then the transfer fees. If I understand the way the accounts work, I would have to, as the minimium, get them 1 Plex to re-activate the inactive account, then pay the 2 Plex for the transfer. There would be no "extra" isk that they would want, as they have no other toons to use it on (I think all of their accounts only have 1 active toon anyway, so I don't understand where the extra isk would end up anyway). --- The questions I have are as follow: * Is it actually possible to look at characters skills list on inactive accounts in any way? I won't do this totally blind (or at least without knowing that it has more Skill Points then say 4-5 million), as I have to put in at least 3 Plex to transfer what is basically a "dead" character, and there is a very good chance they won't remember exactly what skills they trained on it. * Since no "extra isk" would be passed other then the necessary Plex transfer payments, the transaction would look a bit suspect, so would both I and my friend need to email CCP regarding the transaction in some way? The toons would be relatively low SP anyway, it's not like I'm purchasing a Titan pilot. Any feedback from people that know would be appreciated. I want to make sure everything is above board and legit, as I have no intention to risk my main account in any way, and wanted to know if there was precedents for transactions like these. Thank you. I apparently have no idea what I'm doing.
Rashgaroth Tengen Topa Gundam 0	Posted - 2015.06.04 12:01:51 - [2] - Quote Hello mate, About your first question you need to get the api key and to register the toons in eveboard.com (not sure if it will work for inactive toons tho) About the second question you need to use your friends to make "Private Sale" thread on this forums here where they will sell the toons for the agreed ISK amount (in yoour case 1 isk will do) then proceed with the transfer.
