Hi Mates,
I'm the one that put together the AT XIII prize ships this year. Poor Fozzie & Rise get blamed for everything...
Anyway, some quick points -
- These are not the final stats for the ships. Its an early pass without any play or balance testing - expect them to change. I'm interested in your feedback, so post (constructive) criticism or suggestions.
- The design goal of the AT ships is very different to that of any other 'normal' EVE Online space boat. Practicality is unimportant compared to 'theme' & 'coolness'.
The Imp is a Sansha Interceptor, so its bonuses are going to be coming from that heritage. Sure, warp disrupt range (outside of the standard ceptor bonuses) would be powerful as hell, but that's a Gallente or Mordus bonus, not a Sansha bonus. Given its current stats/bonuses it will have a 59km Faction Point range while doing 3.8km/s+ with an afterburner (w' Bonuses/Overloaded).
The Fiend is a Sansha Hictor. Do we expect players to use the Fiend to tackle supers? Well some special snowflake probably will..but on the whole no. We expect you guys to figure out unique and interesting ways to use them. I'm sure moving with an AB at 2.2km/s+ while having 100k+ EHP and having a bubble up could be used for all sorts of shenanigans.
Cheers, CCP Larrikin |

Kadesh Priestess wrote:HIC would fit blood raider theme much better imo. Sansha have the Revenant and the Fiend follows that theme.
Nex Gaius wrote:Also when dafuq are we going to see another Gall ship as the tourney prize, plz give Serprentis / Gall ship with web and point bonus :P Maybe after every other race/faction gets a AT prize ship =)
Altrue wrote:I would give the HIC a reduction to cycle time and cap cost for warp disruption field generators so that it cycles every 5 seconds or something. Thats a cool idea. However anyone actually using this to tackle supers in a fleet has waaaaaay to much ISK.
Bluemelon wrote:How about....give them a damage boost over their useless and totally inadequate regular versions like the phantasm? This is on the cards. Expect to see their final power level come out similar to other AT prize cruisers.

Cheers, CCP Larrikin I wanna make something very clear. Given the rarity of the AT prize ships they are not in any way suitable for combat outside of the tournament. Will some moron actually undock it on TQ and pick a fight. Probably....... But can we not design these ships with stupid in mind? Pretty please? Don't get me wrong I love my Chameleon but I would much rather have had a Rook Gila hybrid than a Falcon Gila hybrid. If we made an AT prize ship that was much better for tournament use than the current cream of that crop, we'd probably just have to ban AT ships from all future tournaments. So be careful what you wish for.

Sup Spacefriends,
Sorry about the delay, some stuff happened with things and whatsit.
Quote:IMP The Imp is an advanced Sansha's Nation Interceptor intended for use by forward parties of True Power's feared harvester squadrons. Able to penetrate even the most intense blockades, hunt down stragglers or simply hold ships while waiting for the main harvester force to arrive, the Imp is yet another case of Sansha's Nation technology improving on existing advanced hardware. Like most Sansha's Nation equipment the few captured examples of the Imp have proven to be readily adaptable for capsuleer use.

Quote:FIEND The Fiend was originally designed by Sansha's Nation as a Heavy Interdiction Cruiser for use by elite harvester squadrons as a means to capture and board ships typically requiring large crew complements. The advanced interdiction technology the vessel is equipped with allows it to generate warp disruption fields without impairing its flight characteristics. This allows these formidable ships to easily chase down and hold even the fastest vessels in the larger size brackets. As with other Sansha's Nation equipment the handful of captured Fiends in commercial hands have proven to be adaptable for capsuleer use.

DHB WildCat wrote:last honest question any chance to give it a "can be repped with bubble up" mode so in fleet fight it has a chance? Im just confused on what you see a HIC doing and having a chance to live with a 150 bil price tag? Naaaaaaah.
Chremoas: +10 Virus Strength to relic and Delta Analyzers Moracha: Can fit covert cynosural field generators Chameleon: 80% reduction in Cynosural Field Generator liquid ozone consumption, 50% reduction in Cynosural Field Generator duration, Can fit Covert Cynosural Field Generator
If it bothers you so much, just pretend its not a Hic, and instead is a super tanky Phantasm with moar DPS/slots/fitting.

DHB WildCat wrote:and thank you for clarifying the role CCP sees of the HIC as the continuation of the joke bonus role the uniques get. Makes much more sense and yes if I get one I will never use it as a HIC. CCP Cognac REALLY tried to convince us to put a mining bonus & ore hold on the Fiend...
DHB WildCat wrote:Thank you for the clarification and again I apologize on my saltiness of losing nearly 50 bil in Faction Battleships to titan doomsdays Ha s'all good. 5th time I ever flew a HIC in a serious fleet I tackled Makalu's titan, nek minnit, DD to the face. I've lost enough bling-space-boats to DD's (and 200 x Maelstrom-finger-of-god) to understand your pain.
