Hello All, i thought i would share this with you all...I wish i could have posted it before fanfest, but i got lazy in converting the video...
Here is a video of CCP's CTO Halld=r Gu=j=nsson talking about EvE Onlines Next Gen Graphics....This was taken by me, Finalstar02 from Asgard Industries (SAFE Alliance), at Nvidia's Geforce LAN 3 in San Jose, CA Nov 7-8....

the video there playing on the scren is just the no other destiny video i think?

If you'd have looked closely you'd have seen the video is 23 minutes... A bit longer than just the trailer :P
They show some of the new DX9 stuff, not much though. And 20k people in bob+ascn? That's a bit optimistic :P

ZOMG I NEED A FRESH PAIR OF PANTS!! The new shaders and normal maps (well they say its more advanced but whatever, its the same sh*# =P ) are going to be available for DX 9?!?! AWSOME!! Anyone know if the self shading will be available for DX 9 as well??

anyway, the graphics were cool, good to see thats still DX9 they are showing there because i wont have the money for a DX10 card when they come out :/.

Hey, FinalStar02 - thanks for the video. We had been looking for some videos from the event but as always the EVE community delivers where others fail
Also, my comment on the combined size of BoB and ASCN - I will simply say that we do not disclose the exact size of the respective alliances - that would be a disservice to any alliance in the game. I was merely trying to give people and idea of the scale of the alliances 
As for contacting you on email I will be doing that momentarily ... thanks for the patience - it's still crazy here at CCP as we are wrapping up the Revelations expansion.

Can't find EVE on top500.org. What gives?
I DO know that it was nr 1 in January of all gaming servers/computers, but I find a chinese server as nr 397 on top500.org as the highest ranking gaming computer.

Any DX9 card should work. Although im not sure which shader model the new engine will use, 2.0/1 or 3. Could a dev verify this? O_o
If its PS/VS 3.0, ill be ****ed :|

They are already out, the lowrange nvidia dx10 cards cost about 700$ right now, but that is likely to change in the next couple of months.
