For me, content idea is such as a true bounty hunter system. It's been mentioned and detailed out many times, no need to get into it. At least the write ups not involving NPC hunting, PvP would only fit imo. I had fun times with such a system... I cannot say where, but the delicious jedi tears were truly glorious Frack you John Smedley |

Well, good points, but there is already a large amount of PvE content enough to hold a player until they do reach "a stepped-up level of ability and organization". And they have made improvements to such content as well... well mostly, I still really disliked all the dumb changes to explorer with mini-games and kitten friendly sites. So... be careful what you wish for here |

I rage quit after NGE, like 97% of the player-base did and never went back. At the point you are talking about, Smedley had already destroyed the game and it was well into it's death throes. This brought me to EVE. Yes, I'm an SWG:CU/NGE refugee here, as many are. |

ahh you're just a baby then.. VIP cause I sticked with it from start to end.. I got a dose of the bittervet syndrome but stuck with it till its last day.. I dread to imagine what eve would be like if that day ever came. I came here cause of their promise to support the product into the next 30 yrs or so.. but now that im here..
I miss my crafting stations. and my jedi stick, and my CH, TK, and frack you BH's to..
the bounty system change would go a long way here but you know they'll get around to it.. its somewhere on that 5 year long thing to do list of theirs.
and your numbers are skewed on its final day it still had more players than eve online could ever get still to this day.
You are one of the three people that stuck around after the NGE patch. Your "VIP" is because it eventually went f2p to milk what ever left it could get out of you before shutting down. NGE was absolutely craptastical, in fact not event that good as it was a total abandonment of the existing player base for one they only hoped to get one day. It was an abandoned game, no one played, apart from f2p players later. Biggest fail in the mmo industry, well noted, well documented. Took many years for Smedely to actually apologize for what he did, but imo one is better off to trust a cactus.

umm buddy you're getting SWG mixed up with SWTOR.. SWG NEVER went f2p.. SWTOR did 6 months after launch cause they tried forcing us SWG players there.. which failed faster than bioware/ea imagined..
go check your facts pls.. you quit like several years before we even shut down, you most likely have no idea what went on, we even had atmospheric flight in-game and working.. eve has yet to even go there.. but either way it was a great 8 years.
Actually it was just a free play at the end, I got the memo. I know what went on, and I followed it's active accounts reports such as CCP does with EVE. The day they released NGE is the day it went into it's death throes. Servers died that day, and for the month my sub was still active it was virtually 0 people in the game. What few played after that were station all access members, just taking a break from their fail EQ2 and kittenized EQ1 gaming. In one single day, all the servers went from very full and active to empty. Eventually they offered you NGE players transfers to populate one or two servers. The lead dev eventually apologized for what he had done to destroy the game with NGE. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_Galaxies WiS and trading card games, and WoW style battlegrounds is something EVE does not need. "in July 2012, John Smedley admitted to "stupid decisions" regarding Star Wars Galaxies combat upgrade and new gaming enhancement policies" Stupid is an understatement. |

Oh but not so, for it's true in what they say that ignorance is bliss, indeed. So much so that the shock of realization can be too much for some to handle, thus they remain in ignorance by choice, or that of denial. Bliss!

hmm well speaking for myself, I know I'd have two accounts active right now if it weren't for multiple character training. They are still getting the money they would for two accounts, but I only have one active at a time now while training more than one. Peak time numbers don't mean as much as they used to.
