Is it possible to do this?
I presume it isn't advisable or I would have seen more.
Anybody used a Domi to Snipe before?
I'm asking as i've not sniped before and would like a go at it. I've done the math and can get the range but not sure if i'm being daft in thinking about doing this?

Domi can fit 6 425 II and achieve almost the same range as a Megathron, so yes, it can snipe.
That said....
6 x 425 II (domi) vs 7 x 425 II (mega)
Additionally, the domi has to sacrifice 3 lows for Reactor Control II's, leaving only 4 for Tracking enhancers and damage mods. The mega can use all 7 lows (iirc) for juicy modules to help its guns out.
In short - the Mega simply outclasses the Domi at sniping ranges for the same skills and specialisations.

It's been a looong time, but:
350mm IIs
Shield Tank/SBs/Tracking Comps/whatever
Damage Mods/Tracking
And nowadays, add sentry drones.
It snipes well. Better at gatecamping than being mobile, though.

Domi can use sentry drones with bonuses as well so it can theoretically out damage a mega. But it's not very practical.

My Plan was this:
High: 6 x 425 Rails
Mids: 2 x sensor booster, 3 x tracking computer
Lows: 3 x RCU, (Stabs/DCU as possible)
This should, adding in fall off range, reach around 156km with my skils (in theory) and Iron charges.
What's this setup look like to you guys?

Really, use 350s and magstabs/tracking in the lows.

And use sentry drones to shoot upto 205km instantly, though I hear CCP fixed the "Sentry hit at any range" bug. Anyone want to confirm?

350mm II has an optimal range of 152km with Spike and 3 tracking computers. Works quite well actually.
