I would like someone with a little more experience help me set up an Omen fitting for high sec mission running. (Fighting missions)
Currently I have this set up . . .
High - Medium Beam Laser I x4 (Standard S), Malkuth Heavy Missile Launcher I x1 (Thunderbolt Heavy Missile)
Medium - 10mn AB, Cap Recharger I x2
Low - Medium Armor Rep, Skadi Cooland System I, Extruded Heat Sink I, Energized Basic Reactive Plating, Capacitor Power Relay I
Drones - Acolyte I x3
Help and contructive comments wanted and appreciated

1) Amarr damage types suck. Missions need damage variability so you could hit their weakest points. Amarr Lasers can't vary their damage.
2) Non-Missiles Suck, no way around this. Missiles might do slightly lower DPS but hit at any transversal or any range.
3) Amarr cruisers just plain 'ole suck. The only way you can get a fitting is with Frigate guns like you have or focused medium guns, which suck again for damage.
If you're serrious about missioning train Caldari.

Ok first of all: fit medium turrets.
4x Heavy Pulse, best named you can get (or focused medium pulse if you can't fit it)
1x nos or assault launcher
1x 10mn AB II
1x web, best named you can get
1x best named cap recharger you can get
1x Medium armor rep II
2x rat specific hardeners, either energized or active
1x heat sink II

Well . . . I guess that wastes about 15 days of training (and it's not even "wasted"), maybe Amarr will roll around next expansion. I'll take a look at turrets and ammo for Caladri, but I would like to ask . . .
If I am going to end up training in a different line, would Minmitar be worth it instead of Caldari? For ratting angels in 0.0 in a BS (explosive damage).

A high skill Typhoon can compete with the Raven for missions and NPCing.
Minmatar are somewhat of a mixed bunch, they combat a lot of weapons systems and require a lot of skill to use properly.

I have had great success running lvl 2s in a maller and an omen should also perform well. My suggestions are to use explosive drones and missiles to round out your damage, fit a webber, and fit some EANMs instead of heat sinks for your tank. Alot of mission running is just being able to tank the damage, which is one of the reason the raven is so good at it.
