Lofty gets bosted about cause hes a nublet ganker using Questionable tactics etc. etc. id Vote for Menod Penter - Unoficial Mayor of Rens :) mainly cause i lived there for a while and his impact on the locals is often very funny and id say alot of heimater residents know him or have a space cleaning directive forced upon them. Seleene - never met and im very very Glad i havent :) but im sure the MC are well know throughout the EvE universe.

He's a totally hilarious guy, and I read the 0.0 experiment which totally opened my eyes to EVE as a game besides 'that spaceship one with the stupid PVE'. From his adventures, I also got the inspiration to write my serial 'Action! Suspense! Jita!', and hats off to him for getting me to play this great game. ... Aside from Cyvok (Titan plus biggest current guild), there's a few other people of note I think. Seleene's got quite a bit of name, I'm an avid follower of Mr M's Eve Tribune (another reason to play and venture to 0.0), and I do suppose I like Killer8 and his hilarious flash movies. Some of the greatest and most feared pilots are just out there minding their own business and doing very well for themselves... IMO, the days when we (m0o) controlled PF-346 and pirating was not so common, they were the scariest days for pilots trying to explore As for forums, most people leave that up to the Jade Constantine's of this world....

thundachronic Caldari	Posted - 2006.11.22 19:40:00 - [63] Thing is that carebears will never be famous unless they gain fame by being smacktards/idiots/forum hoes (who makes a movie about mining, even if it's arkonor ?) so that pretty much leaves all the famous people to being PVP'ers or forum hoes. In which case this thread is a repeat of the most "Dread Pirate" post of not long ago but now also includes bounty hunters, anti-pirates & frequent forum posters. If you've also never been in the region where said famous people hang around then they'll only be famous through word of mouth, or yet again because of their forum posts. If they are in your area, then they'll be famous for the same reasons, ie: you seen them on forums, and they're now in your local... a kind of fame. Bearing in mind that only pilots who started playing EVE just after retail will remember the most famous/infamous PVP'ers who were also playing at that same time, then it becomes even more subjective. Those pilots who joined at retail will remember TankCEO, Lord Zap etc whereas newer pilots won't. If I remember rightly, Lord Zap was the 1st face to grace a Concord billboard for the wrong reasons (in his case right reasons - the most wanted baddy about, and the biggest bounty on a pilot at the time). By that same token, newer pilots will only nominate newer faces who are making the rounds right now. I've never met any of these pilots but their names are well known to me: Ginger Magician, farjung, Verone, Daniel Jackson - why ? Because they either made some movies, get quoted loads on omgrawr or are a laughing stock because of their antics/bull**/waffle. So basically, I would say there are loads of famous players in EVE. Some are famous because of their impact on the game universe, but most are famous because of their own image that has grown because of actions that aren't exactly In-Game related. Some are admittedly also famous for both. As to who is the MOST** famous (IMO) pilot of all, then I dunno ??? Of all time, then probably TankCEO or Lord Zap because of their in-game activities. Currently, Verone or Ginger Magician because of their forum presences. 2 years ago Oprah was the most famous TV host in the world, today she isn't - go figure ;)
