I'll get the ball rolling, because there's a lot of these out there, and it can be therapeutic to vent on them. Trust me. 
1. "Respec" or respecialization of character skills in a given MMO, being spelled "Respect". RESPECT? It's an extra letter! WHY!?
2. "..." people who have to say everything with a lot of... William Shatner style... ellipses... to sound... really pretentious...
3. Random capitalization of Words, usually Nouns, in a given statement, especially on The forum. Unless the shift Key is going rogue on people, I have no idea why this Happens.
4. For the roleplayers: STOP SMIRKING. It's not even a valid response to anything. All you do is make yourself seem like Dubya Bush. Or maybe the intent is to seem really smug like Generic Cliche Metrosexual Anime Antihero With White Hair #69276643.

Ellipses are usually used to imply that you're not cutting off your statement as sharply.
I.e. "I'm not really sure... but that might work."

I've seen this complaint posted before.
And I agree with it wholeheartedly, though it almost seems to much of a cliche that nobody doesn't it anymore anyways.

As a clarification, I refer to ellipses at the end of a statement in particular. There is no reason to add two extra periods, except to end a Star Wars opening crawl, or maybe to sound like a pretentious ass...

Also comments which don't have any kind of wider scope in relation to the issue.

Also, when LOL is used as a word, for example: "I LOLed at that!". Also, I really doubt people really laugh out loud as often as all the "LOLs" would have you believe.

I am with you all the way here. DarkAndScary101 (and variants) just ****es me off, but what I REALLY hate is the people who have names of characters for things, and then **** them up in some way. Sefiroth and his kin need shooting, but another thing which ****es me off is blatantly character names from another source, even if you get them right (like Josh Calvert). Even worse though, is the people who can't get them right, so they take two vaguely related names, usually from the same universe and combine them into a huge mutated ball of abhorrent fail and lose. Example
Between corps atm, the NPC one is strictly a temporary thing.

Quit Crossing Universes!!! This is not vampires the masquerede, this is not D&D, this is not WoW. There should be no bios that say how you are an intaki necromancer, or how the blood causes you to feed and hear voiced like a Malkavian. this is eve not other rpgs. so please if you are going to drink blood, tie it into the blood raiders some how. and if you have magic. ill come and kill you for free and save you the humiliation you deserve.
Animal chars:
I have no real problem about are population that thinks they are animals, but they have better have a hell of a story to back it up. Gene splicing, DNA mishaps during a cloning process, etc you know something believeable. >_< although i have read some out there. Remember if you are going to roleplay on eve make sure you have a very believable story to fit the eve universe
Please read eve-chronicles before you try to role play.

This died after ultima online. only pk's on UO were allowed to use this and even then you had to be a cool pk. ie. dont use it in eve.

Weird realy, im not quite sure how that would annoy people.
If i were to think about myself, id just call it expressive.... it's hard to come across on a screen the way i would to people face to face, it's one of those little things that i spose makes me atleast think im coming across to people with a little bit of me showing out in the manner i would face to face...

Bios with pretentious bad poetry in them. Especially crap about darkness or other vagaries. It's much easier to mutter nonsense about how mysterious you are then to admit you don't have a good backstory behind it, I suppose.
Here's an example. Yes, a real one, this one from SWG. "The extent of my power will remain unknown..." Yes, even with the ellipses.
"Be safe." Why do people say "be safe" ESPECIALLY in EvE? If you're safe, you're not getting ahead. No risk, no isk!

Yeah, "lol" as punctuation really p1sses me off as well. If you really did laugh out loud at something, then fine, use LOL. But I doubt you laugh out loud at the start and end of every sentence. If you are, then you've got issues, man lol.

The lack of exotic dancers in amarr space. hows a gallente supposed to spend money there?
honestly in pvp people who complain about drones. drones are a legitimate strategy in this game. Its not that hard to shoot them down. just have to learn how to.
Also alliance people boasting how their alliance is the best and how they rule eve. Words of advice, Nothing is permanent, gods can be killed, empires fall
Another people who say this one ship is the best and has no rival etc..... a ship is only good as its pilot and any ship can be taken down by another ship.
And as for forums pet peeves, people like Samirol wasting 15 mins of my life which i can never get back.

ive never used Quest in EVE, but i do let Guild slip out many times.
Toon is annoying because when i hear toon i think of those things on the TV that drop Anvils and throw Dynamite.

I'm surprised this has not been mentioned yet but being in a beginner npc corp this probably comes up more frequently than elsewhere:

->when new pilots ask questions that are answered in the tutorial if they would only devote a few minutes to it.
such questions include but are certainly not limited to:
"how can i fly my ship?" or "how do i warp?" or even better... " where is the pause button?"
