just wondering ppls views on what ships they think will be worth getting and getting rid of before Kali hits us? and reasons why?
i.e i hear the deimos is going to be v.poor, not sure why tho.
air ur opinions ppl

get muninn - will be good after buff (work out yourself)
sell deimos - will be 10x worse due to poor speed, reliance on cap, no proportional hp increase, inadequate pg boost.
get brutix - will have increased agility and massively increased hp after kali. will be MORE agile than deimos, be able to do as much damage and have more hp and is still 5 x cheaper than deimos

The question is, at the price sleipnirs are at atm (150mil~) is it worth getting a muninn (95mil?) over the sleipnir? :P
because in my eyes, even with the PG bonus, will it actually be all that much better...
in fairness ive not flown one in a while

Get rid of:
Apoc: just obsolete if Abaddon stays a Turret/Tank ship
Get:
Caldari BS lvl 5, youll never need anything else

Well. The way I see it, there's no real change. No old ships that get ****e, some of the old ships that were ****e get better, and most of the new ships are pre-nerfed.
So, if you've got ships that need getting rid of, then they've been collecting dust a long time. Some examples:
* Ares - it's slated to get a boost 2008, when it'll get another high slot (no extra hardpoints) and some more CPU.
* Deimos - It's a flying brick. Except bricks tend to be good at smashing windows, heads, teeth, etc, which the Deimos can't.
* Bellicose - Yes. There is a ship named Bellicose. I know, not many have heard of it.
* Navitas, etc - Some people claim Amarr is missing one frigate. That's not true. The other races have one frigate too many - and they aren't good.
* Heretic and Eris - If you try to get a decent combat fitting on them, that is. Get a Sabre or Flycatcher if you are going up against anything alone... well except an Ares, you can probably kill an Ares.

Faction ships
Get rid of rattlesnakes and bhaalgorns, price is likely to drop with all the new complexes coming in?
Plus rig slots on faction ships not as good.

Well the muninn gets a grid boost, but the HP boost to all ships hurts the muninn more than it gains from the grid boost.

Sell the deimose`s they scuk big time!
GOOD ships : ISHTAR is gonna be omg wtfpwned.... with 1600 plate u can get near 10 k nicely tanked armour :DD
And another good ship is the myrmidon or whatever is the name of the new galente bc! it`s gonna do the damage that dominix does with drone`s.. so much cheaper much better... I sold all my deimose`s and i believe i will be using for pvp the new bc that come`s to galente!
Someone else can post about the other race`s ... but what come`s to galente there will be real issues with drones!!!! need to tank killemm... sooo just need a boost to drones!! KALI will suck big time!

I think the deimos is still good for gangs and such, but it lacks nearly every desirable attribute for a solo ship. Sell them and get an ishtar if solo is what you want I guess.

It's pretty evident at this point that there are going to be no changes made to help out the poor Deimos :(
All people have asked for is a mild speed and agility increase so that it can actually move like a HAC (come on, there are battleships faster than this thing, and that's just plain sad)... and a mild increase in PG: enough to actually fit t2 weps on it. Even with these additions, it would still be not a very good HAC compared to the versitility of every other HAC. CCP has displayed for an eternity there are no intentions to help w/ the Deimos.
The entire direction of this game has changed to the point where it's getting pretty undesirable. BC's that are going to have more agility than HACs? Sharkbait has said 'just because something is not replied to in forums doesn't mean it goes unnoticed', but I'm wondering, what's the point of a 36 page thread, when the people at the helm are wiping thier asses with it?
Sad. I guess Deimos will always have a place as a 'faction ship' novelty, like its' little black brother the Vigilant, except no missle hardpoint (Gallente cruisers aren't allowed to have them apparently).

The Vigilant:
1) Much cheaper than Deimos
2) Has a better slot layout (5-4-5)
3) Lighter than Deimos (about 15% less mass)
4) 10 ms/s faster
5) Smaller sig radius, higher sensor strength etc
6) Has slightly more armor
7) Less pg than Deimos - the only real drawback imo
8) Worse resists
I think I'm gonna get one.

I'd say get a Nighthawk, but they've already jumped in price due to the announcement of a much needed buff.
