CCP karkur wrote:can I play? here are a few things I can think of which I'm not sure everyone knows of:
- "snapped" windows can be moved together by holding down shift
- there is a compare tool (news to some people :P), you open it from the variation tab in info windows. When it's open you can drag stuff to it.
- you can open many info windows (either by changing setting in ESC window or holding shift down while you click "show info")
- if you drag the solarsystem menu thingy (above your route) to any edit field, you create a link to your solarsystem
- there are shortcuts for almost all windows and combat commands
- you can add whole categories/groups from the market to the quickbar by right clicking them and select "add group to quicbar root/folder"
- when sending mail to your corp or alliance, you can write "corp" or "alliance" in the TO field and it will be converted to the name of the corp/alliance
- you can sort your mails by assigning them labels. Each mail can have many different labels.
- holding ctrl down freezes the overview
- you can display the session change timer
- you can drag stuff from your cargo to the ship/item button in the neocom and it will be moved to the hangar
- there are filters in the settings tab in the market window. There you can filter out orders, but also filter the list on the left hand side so it won't show you stuff you cannot use on your current ship or don't have the skills for
- the search field in the asset window has some clever advanced search functionality (was a devblog on it recently)
- you can group a few thing together in the necom (right click empty space in the neocom and go to "configure")
- you can import songs in the jukebox
- the calculator is awesome
- when in space, if you click something and hold the mouse down, you get some action panel
- you can zoom better in on things by holding down the right mouse button, move the mouse a little bit up or down, and then hold down the left mouse button (holding both down) and move the mouse up.
The first one was the only one I didn't know about =D
And btw the neocom one no longer applies, but I know what you were talking about, I was probably one of the only people that had that extra category that grouped the market, science and industry, fitting and the militia office on the old neocom
Here's mine: You can right click the capacitor display in the HUD for a quick way to get to the context menu for your own ship. Works great when trying to fumble for the eject button of a T3 cause you don't have to move your camera to find your ship visibly to click it.

Ajita al Tchar wrote: * Speaking of the overview, you can open overview settings even while docked if you type "/open_overview_settings" in chat. You can do lots of things like this with the right text command, actually, but I find the overview one to be the most useful. Remember, a badly setup overview can mean you go boom before you know it. You can add up to 5 tabs to your overview to toggle between filters quickly.
Thank you! Finally some useful chat slash commands besides /emote =D
Got a list of these anywhere? (CCP make a /? or /help for player relevant commands plz? :3)
Ajita al Tchar wrote: * The only way to make your cargo containers unscannable with cargo scanners is to put stuff in cargo container, then create a courier contract for that container (or multiple containers). The can is what will show up on the cargo scanner, not the contents. Other methods, excluding the Orca corp hangar, don't work (yes, even "audit log secure containers", srs.)
I would like to point out to everyone that the Orca's corp hanger was "fixed" almost a year ago.
It was under the group of unnamed fixes listed on one of the patch notes as "And several exploit fixes to make New Eden a better place"
The method above is now the ONLY way. The Drake is a Lie |

Setting the drones engage hotkey to ` (accent mark next to the '1' key at the top left) makes it very easy and fluid for you to press F1 and ` at the same time for full damage potential. The Drake is a Lie |

Group chats with local, corp, and alliance to make them "uncloseable". Grouping them with these chats makes them only minimizable.
When using dscan click on your ship to make a small solid square bracket appear on it. Aim your dscan at celestials through that bracket. It is the key to being able to pull off 15 degree scans and nail down that someone is at a specific belt or moon.
If you want to have the number of people in local you can keep local off to a separate window and then double click the window at the top. This puts it into a pseudo minmized mode that maintains the channel name and number of people in it as if in the full window. Double click again to restore. This can be done with a lot of other windows as well.
A lot of windows have a '?' button at the top that opens a quick access list of items and link to evelopieda articles and such on how to do things within that window, for instance the Science and Industry window would feature stuff on how to manufacture.
Since Crucible, fleets can have a MOTD, so set one with info about what to bring and what system they need to goto so that they can see it as soon as they join.
Fleet leaders and the boss can view "Fleet Composition" to see which ships, what system, and how much skill each member has in the 3 main fleet skills (Leadership, Wing Command, and Fleet Command)
Double clicking a planet int he list of planets in the S&I window will automatically open it up into planet view for you. (Allowing you the ability to skip the right click and selecting view in planet mode)
You can set any "Warp to" distance by right clicking the button and typing in a number in meters. This can let you warp in exactly at optimal instead of kinda close. The Drake is a Lie |

Also: at anytime you can right-click a character in local and select BLOCK to hide all future chat messages. Using with gusto works wonders in Jita.
Only CONCORD LP is transferable and it has a less than a 1:1 exchange rate.
But if you incursion a lot it shouldn't be much of an issue to you. The Drake is a Lie |
