when i load up the game i cannot read anythn so i have no idea what to do, what should i do?

Give a better description of your problem, and/or take screenshots?
Between corps atm, the NPC one is strictly a temporary thing.

If its right at startup, and you havent entered the game yet, its pretty simple.
Your grapic card sucks/you are using onboard grapics. Go buy a grapics card :)

I have aged eyes also (if thats the case) and tried to play EVE on a 17" Monitor at 1024x768. The font size I couldn't even make out in most places.
You can increase at least the 'drop-down' menu font in the ESC Setting (press ESC Key in Game) Under 'Generic', 'Menus' Section "Set Context Font Size to 12 Pixel" .. Also run at the Minimum Resoultion of 1024x768
I solved this problem by getting a 19" Monitor which made things much clearer.
Some people here will automatically assume your graphics card is poo, or not realize people other than teen-agers play this game..

first thing you could do is giving a better description of your problem...
are you playing on a laptop or using a tft-monitor maybe? so you maybe play in fullscreen at 1024 x 768 which probably isn`t a native resolution of your monitor thus making the text blurry...
if thats the case, press alt-enter while ingame to get it into windowed mode and then use the escape-menu to set a resolution that fits your monitors...
other than that, make screenshots, post your system specs, whatever...

Serously. Please never sterotype again. If you must know, im very shortsighted, and without glasses I cannot see 2 inchs from my face.
Some people here need to stop bloody sterotyping. I stated my reason becuase when I first started playing eve, and got to setup screen, I had onboard grapics, which ment the writing was unreadable, and ingame the screen was white.

I am having the exact same problem and I have a 17'' monitor. i have tried different resolutions and still nothing. The problem is not blurry text, it is no text whatsoever. There is nothing where there should be text.
