A new feature has been introduced with Revelations which combines the world map with the inflight view, and adding a view in between.
Zooming in/out This can be done in three different ways;
- Spyglass +/- next to your ship UI
- Ctrl + Mousewheel
- Buttons above overview (only when in world or system map
System Map
The system map will be a "new view" for the player that gives him a better oversight over the solar system. Serving more tactical purposes for fleet warfare and system scanning but also just to look nice.
List of all objects that are visible in the system map:
- Stations
- Gang Mates
- Complexes & Landmarks
- Gang Broadcasts
- Scan Results
- Planets
- Moons
- Asteroid / Ice Belts
- Bookmarks
- Scan Probes & Radius Bubble of selected Probe
Stations: Stations have information window that expands once hovered, the information that players can see for stations are; services, agents (division, quality & level extra information), corporation offices, my assets & corporation assets.
My Assets has a click-on for opening your asset window. It wonÆt just open the window but also scroll to the hangar and expand the window automatically (almost like if it was magic).
Gang Mates: Gang mates with the same ônearest locationö are grouped into a singleton in the system map, this is to make it easier to interact with locations that would get stacked with hundred gang mates at the same location.
They have the same information window as stations and expand to show all the members at that location. Then you can interact with any individual.
Landmarks: Landmarks (including Global Complexes) also have a window that expands to show the description for the location.
World Map Control Panel There is a new tab in the World Map Control Panel that allows you to filter out what objects you don't want to see in the system map and also the expanded information windows.
The control panel has also been polished a bit, merging a couple of tabs together or some information put into exandable drop down groups.
Solar System Information Hovering a solar system has been made "easier" so that you don't have to try and find the tiny dot on your screen. Also when hovering a system a window will appear which expands once hovered, there you will see all the "orbit items".
Multiple orbit item types have been merged instead of listing all orbit items as a single type, for example planets are listed as a singleton and all the objects belonging to the planet are merged into a counter of the object, i.e. Planet V -> 6 Moons, 2 Stations, 12 Asteroid Fields. All besides stations which are still listed under planets individually.

Station information can also be retrieved through the system information; by hovering a station you will get sub menus that give the exact same information as in the system map.

Tiny Things
The overview and the ship UI are now always displayed in all map levels, this should make it less dangerous for players to use the seamless zooming when in deep space.
The entire world can now be seen when looking at your ship or when in the system map, as if there were stars in the sky.
