From patch notes: "The charge capacity of cap boosters have been decreased by 20%."
WHY?!
I thought the whole point was to make it so that we could carry MORE, so that blaster/laser ships wouldn't be ****** by this patch.
Why is the charge capacity ALSO decreased? This makes it so that nothing is changed! GOD ****IT
It's great playing Caldari-online, isn't it?

I don't know that charge capacity is tied to cargo space required, but this'll surely be tied to what I do with my bpo's for the things.

Who gives a ****?
It is the same ******* amount of cap.
The VOLUME of the charges have been reduced, but QUITE ASIDE from that, the cap amount of each charge has been reduced.
So you're not carrying any more cap!
Read the notes for yourself!
This is a huge nerf. This makes it so that LESS cap per time can be recovered. WTF?
For reference, here's the quote from the patch notes:
Quote:
# The charge capacity of cap boosters have been decreased by 20%. # The volume of cap boosters have been decreased by 20%.
TYVM for nerfing blasters and lasers.

Edited by: Raivi on 25/11/2006 01:47:51 I'm quite certain that what they mean by charge capacity is the amount of booster charges that can be loaded into the booster at once, not the amount of cap each charge gives. It just means you still have to reload as often as you did before. If it was changing the amount of cap boosted by each charge the change would have been to "Capacitor Bonus"

Then why didn't it say "cap INJECTOR capacity has been reduced by 20%"? I think the wording is ambiguous here.
You do, however, raise a valid point, and I HOPE YOU ARE RIGHT!
Can a dev please refute/verify? Can someone on SISI verify that cap booster 800s still exist?

Thats what I assumed to. It was to make sure that a 33% size reduction didn't mean you could fit 33% more into the module, just 33% more in your cargo hold. -----------------------------------------------

Edited by: Xori Ruscuv on 25/11/2006 01:50:29 Agreed, ambiguity FTL.
As long as the largest cap booster charges still charge for 800, then I'll go , I'll STFU, and go sit in the corner with my tin-foil dunce cap.

DEV PLEASE VERIFY/REFUTE.
I think this is the way it is, but could we please get a Dev to verify this? Ambiguity FTL.

TBH I think the 800 charges still have 800 cap in them, just the injector capacity has been reduced so that each heavy injector carries 4 charges loaded.
Because I said so...

Well, in game the module you put on your ship is called a "capacitor booster". Capacitor injector is just a name used on the forums to avoid confusion.
Also, I just checked, and the attribute for said module that determines the amount of space it has for loaded booster charges is "Capacity", while the attribute for the charges that determines the amount of cap they give is called "capacitor bonus".
I can understand your concern, but I'm 99.9% positive it's just a change to the space capacity of the booster modules.

Ah, you make a good point. I've been so used to calling the module "cap injector" in order to distinguish it from the charges.
Ugh, I feel like an idiot now.
