CCP desperately wants to progress the storyline in the Eve universe. They don't want to do this by simply saying "Oh yeah, this and this happened", because they know that most people (non-roleplayers) will go "yeah yeah, whatever, go away".
In order to FORCE people to sit up and take notice, they will introduce faction warfare. However, they already have a plotline in mind. This plotline involves a race in posession of superior technology taking over everything...
This is why Caldari has been given:
- The best ewar (ECM), and ships at all levels to fit this role
- The best close and long range weaponry, and ships at all levels to fit this role
- The best tanks
- A sniper that, with poor skills, easily outdoes other race's snipers - even if those races have "uber" skills... and, a sniper that can TANK (unlike all other snipers)
In short, the conspiracy: forced roleplay through introduction of weak ships to all races but one.
It's great playing Caldari online, isn't it?

Ah..excuse me, but can't you be ANY race and train ANY races tech? I'm Amarr but I fly a highly tricked out Raven..(course I can also fly a Amarr and Gallente BS). I have a high standing with Caldari, Amarr and Gallente..
So where is the problem?

And yeah this thread was meant sort of as a joke; partly a way for me to vent that a year of training for Gallente ships and weapons has brought:
- Caldari ship that is better with blasters than Gallente ships
- A Caldari ship that can be fitted with tech 1 gear that can snipe as well and tank WAY better than any other tech 2 fitted ship in the game.

Oh come on man, lighten up. I think it's true that caldari have the best EW, but they are the most hi-tech of races, but the weapons are the same for everybody and Gallente have mean tanks too.
I guess the only thing you're really upset about is the Rokh's stats.

Yeah, I'm ****ed about the Rokh. Because it makes a year of my training available to people who have played for just a few months... plus it can tank and snipe at the same time, and I think that isn't cool.

And that same pwnage is availible to you for the price of caldari BS4.. and with your year+ old support skills you will be even more uber than some nub who rushes into a Rohk with t1 guns..

Ok, first note, factional warfare woudlnt work because, I dont know about you, but my corp has players from every race, and pilots wont fight each other on an galactic racial scale, two, CCP is not gona make anyone that doesnt want to fight be forced into combat, and if there was some kind of factional warfare it wouldnt affect players, just back story, and to in answer to your claims of Caldari superiority, from the point of background information and history the Caldari field a small elite force to be competative in relevance to the other larger empires. Also, have you ever used missiles? they arnt that great, and btw, for your various rants relating to everything sucking compared to Caldari, I award thee the Whiner of the week award, have a nice day.

Well faction warfare is an opt in program.. You make the choice of joining it and then get to attack your factions enemys anywhere in empire space.. But only your factions enemy who has did the same as you and joined one of the faction corps.. Anyone who is not a member of the npc pvp faction corp will be immune to all aggression and vice versa in empire from you and will be concorded to a pod like usual if attacked..

Really?? from what I've heard any corp can declare war on any corp and attack them at will irregardless of wether the corp wants to fight them or not. Some corps run around abusing New corps just for fun.

Thats kinda came out wrong, but if it did happen yeah it owuld be optional, but it would be to much hassle and I dont think that many people would get into it sry for any missunderstanding.
