Well , sentries doenst work as they should. Warden, Kin Dmg drone has optimal range 50 km and I have Omnidirectional tracking link fitted to my ship. The thing is, I wanted to kill npc being 47 km from me. With omnidirectional link which adds 20% to the range I should have 60 km of range but when I wanted my drones to shoot the guy, I received a message that 0 of 5 drones didnt receive order for various reasons. When the ship approached below 40 km, they started to shoot. Of course, except optimal range there is a fallof range but I dont even thing about"why does the drone need falloff? they cant even shoot ships being in their optimal!" Can sb fix it? Or explain to me how the sentry drones truly work?

its increases the drones shooting range, it dosn't increase your drone control range, u need to use it in conjunction with an augmentor

its simply because you do not have the skill too control drones any futher than 40km, all your drones will only accept orders from you up too the same range.
Plus the omnidirectional doesnt increase range, only the drones shooting range and tracking, the drone link augmentor increases control range.

maan...what has a drone control range to sentry drones shooting range? sentry drones are stationary ones, let me tell you how I use them: First of all, I stop my ship (Dominix), when the ship doesnt move I launch Sentry Drones. Like I said, they are stationary drones so they are always about 100m from me...so they are in control range. Second thing: they are snipers -> they shoot from distance. For Warden drone, having optimal range 50 km and falloff 25km (so from turret quide I can assume that they are able to shoot from at least 50km + 2x25km = 100km )and having fitted Omnidirectional Tracking Link that increases SHOOTING RANGE of drones, increasing that range by 20% (20% of 50 km is 10 km so its about 60 km final shooting range) I want it to at least kill something being below optimal drone shooting range...why isnt that so ? does the drone control range (while sentries are 100m from me) affects shooting range? plz answer

This is something that has ****ed me off alot lately. Basically your target has to be within your drone control range for you to shoot it, doesn't mattter how far the sentries are away from you. seems like a bug to me as the only sentry that can be used to its full potecial is the garde simply because it has such a short range. Senrties SHOULD be able to shoot as far away as there total range, not your total drone control range.

What u can do is just pop your domi full of drone link augs on the highs. 1x Aug gives my alt 67km (scout drone 4), 2x is past targeting range of domi
