Remove alts from the game. Im talking about those other two character slots. get rid of them. They only fuel bad things in this game. Least ive only heard of bad things. Make people pay hard money for alternates. Most do it anyways.

Let's see, I pay 12.95 a month and can use 3 characters. $12.95 / 3 = $4.32. Ok, take away 2/3 of my game and I will pay the remaining 1/3 to play with my single character on the single server.

The advantage of only having one character is that players cannot use their alt for everything. They will have to deal with other players. Also, it will reduced the current problem of corp thieves using alts to rip off corps and then deleting the alt.

  Lets not and say we delelted them anyway. But alts have there uses other then underhanded things. But that reminds me, I need to make a top ten list.

Maybe not a bad idea. But impossible to implement now. So don't even think about it. Some people have spread their skills points across their chars and they would simply cancel if that ever happened.

Nooooo! I use my well developed alt to take out ORE THIEVES! How else can I do it? They run at the sight of my insured Kestrel briming with torpedos! So I have to make an alt every two days or so, so that I'll be able to sneak up on their usless arses and stick a fish in them!

Stupid Idea!
I use my main char for mining, fighting and my alt for hauling. Deleting the alts will cause me to cancel my subscription. So from my point of view it is a very bad idea. Today people are free to choose if they want to play with one char, or if they want to develop two or three chars. And what will happen with the skillpoints of the alts, will that be lost time? Your idea is cutting the freedom of EVE down. And never forget it can also be that if only one char is allowed, pirate chars will be prefered by many players. The more time i think about your idea, the more stupid it sounds in my ears.

I hope for your sake tis was a note thought out post. I don't use an alt, but my RL partner uses the second character slot to play around and relax in EVE with.
So making it one PC will ruin his and my experience 
So please keep the ALTS as for some, they are not ALTS but others characters. (Thinks about some EULA thing but ignorse it)

I posted in beta about how alts were a dumb idea in a game that was almost exclusively PvP (be it market wars, or gunfights). I gave many scenarios that have come true in retail.
For a reason that cannot be because of gameplay, they chose 3 characters. I guess they figured that would sell more boxes.

Bad idea, because not everyone got characters that could be called "alts" because their chars are nearly equal developed.
Well... don't want to go into details of roleplaying... so it's just a bad idea imo.

Well, as The Littlest Hobo has just pointed out to me, removing alts isn't enough to stop the problems associated with them. If there was just one character per account, but you really, really wanted an alt for all sorts of evil shenanigans, you'd pay for that second account.

I don't hate this idea... they could always give players that have trained up skills on the alt-characters a one time free transfer to their main character where-ever they wanted the skill points placed... not like they are gaining anything they didn't have.. (and I have no alts so I'm not just saying that)
But It's never going to happen anyway... it would be organizational nightmare.... I'd rather see the idea that I mentioned weeks ago, where you could pay a little extra on the monthly fee and start training alts independently. It would ultimately do the same thing...

Certainly alts are an extremely bad idea and should never have been implemented. Hard to get rid of them now but if a way can be found please do it! (Not that there is a cat in hell's chance of them doing so.)
It is a licence for thieves and scammers who can commit crimes without having to face even the possibility of punishment. Totally wrong.

Torps are 2.0 and can't fit in any small launcher (they have capacity of 1.2 max).
However, it is theoretically possible to fit an H-50 launcher onto a Kestrel and fit 3 torps but that dramatically reduces your firepower (4 M12's with cruises vs 1 Malkuth with 3 torps?).
You certainly couldn't train the required skills to fit an H-50 onto a Kestrel in 2 days.
