"On the Serenity server, skills no longer train when the owning account is deactivated. Tranquility is not affected by this change."
From pure curiosity: why it's different on Serenity than on Tranquility? Do Chineese massively farm characters training long skills on inactive accounts or what?

I must admit this made me curious too
I wonder if its CCP just breaking TQ users into the idea gently, so that in Kali 2 - TQ will also be changed the same way
It is somewhat an exploit if you think about it, however widely used. :)

Abused is what it is not exploit of game mechanics.
I benefitted from this feature myself when I left Eve for a time. BS 5 sure is a pain. However, in equal measure, I was gone for 4 months. I didn't reactivate my account, set training, and leave again.
Be clear when you start tossing the word exploit around. Some people use things are intended and succeed. Some abuse things, even if the action was intended, and unfairly succeed.
Protagonist must have an Antagonist. Otherwise he's just a guy playing with himself.

From my experience it's not widely abused. It's mostly when someone quits for a long time for RL issues. Having long skill trained after returning to EVE is a nice bonus. I have never heard about exploiting it and that's why I was wondering why CCP changes it.

If you would have actually Read the patchnotes, you would have noticed that this doesnŠt come to TQ.
All reamians the same. That means you can still train while your accounts is deactivated ___________________________________________ A wise man said once: 'Violence is the escape of the mentaly poor guys.'

Unless you in China for some strange reason
Could it be that they all pay via GTC or have an option to pay per week maybe?
I cant see any logic in it tbh, hence I was curious.
And I must confess to using this "feature" myself, for the simple reason that I need a break now and then to get on with RL - and being unsubbed for a week or two each month means that I dont have the distraction of EVE - being as addictive as it is :)
