afaik the BCs were already PvP viable, its just that a lot of people I saw didnt know how to use them for it. _ _ CEO 808 Enterprises Freighter Service Available |

I've seen BCs fairly often, especially ferox's. yes i think you will be seeing more of all these ships now.

Originally by: Gierling Destroyers with passive tank/low tier weapons is the way to go, portable damage.
Catalyst with 75mm II rails 400 mm plate, damage control etc. Good DPS good range, Good tracking even with SPike etc etc.
erm... play to your strength, you can cram 7 150 mm tech II rails on that, 2 tracking comps, and enough mag stabs to make baby Jesus cry!

except with a ganka dessie you get raped by any moderately fast locking cruiser that surprises you...speaking from experience lol.
before revelations have found a med extendered, mwd +low tier arty to be most survivable in pvp- quite a versatile setup that was capable of handling itself for a short time against some cruisers. versatility seems to be key in PvP combat lottery imho. it is a bit of a poor man's stabber though- not as fast and less armour, but it is REALLY cheap.
btw like mentioned above by other posters, you need a fair amount of engineering skills.

In a frig gang your not often going to need the extra damage of the 125's or 150's.
Plus they don't benefit as much from the falloff bonus on the catalyst.
Spike in a Catalyst gets you into the red zone (30K), still does good dps, and still (Due to the double tracking boost) hits interceptors reasonably often.
Of course you can also go pure gank and hit 420 some odd DPS in the catalyst if you really want to be the pure portable damage. Versatility is a bit nicer though.

Originally by: Caedicus Okay so Destroyers are getting a whopping 66% of hitpoint increase while BC's will be getting a 56.25% increase. This is significantly higher than the hp increase of the other ships. Now I noticed during my brief PVP experiences that BC's (bar the Brutix) and destroyers were very rare encounters. I think it was obvious that it was very difficult to make these ships useful in PVP.
Are the HP increases to these ships going to change this? I hope it will because I always love to see diversity in PVP.
no offense intended, but thats kinda like saying will softer toilet paper feel better to wipe with... of course
