TBH Sniping was getting out of hand so they changed it, just like the way they changed gate tanking as that was getting ridiculouse too, same as what happened to jip camping and high sec killing.
Its not like as if you are gonna miss sniping that much, its boring as hell to do, the only up side is that you make mucho isk.
Tundragon went sniping because A) we wanted to see if we could fit out a capital fleet with proceeds only from ganking people and B) we all on some level lacked the motivation/time to do anything else.
The only thing i will miss due to this patch is juping to Rancer and Sniping for a bit when I either dont have the time or am too tired from work to concentrate on anything else.
If anything this is a boost to pirates, before when i travel in bs I am confined to those that can easily fit mwd like intys, hacs or blasterthron... Now I can fly anything and not be bored as hell jumping through 15 empty systems aproaching gate at 150m/s.
So pick yourself up, look on the brightside and please quit your whining.

Sounds like the OP must work with the two guys I
ran into last week. They weren't able to kill me
at the gate or the station. They were in Battleships
and I was in a Bestower :-). Folks like that just
give pirates a bad name...

If you want more targets then :
War Dec everyone in sight.
Go to 0.0 and randomly shoot people.
Attack every pirate you see.

I promise you if you do these things you will have more to do than you can shake a damn stick at.
Its been said, I will say it again: if you think Bubbles in LowSec are a good idea then you dont have a damn clue what people mean by risk/reward.
Tryyyyyy really really hard to envision what will happen to the few targets you got now if they allow Dictors.
*Poof* they magically disapear, wasnt that fun!

News to me !! I returned to piracy after a long break, and after the Kali release
Yes it is not the same, but it is possible and as much fun just slightly harder work and with slightly more risk.
I take part in small gang/solo hunting and also solo gate camping all can be done.
since the return I have lost one AF (bad choice of target), one BC (gate camp) and one BS ( Good gank by Tribalbleb and stupidity on my part)
I have killed a lot more and isk wise am in profit.
I am certainly making more isk than I did Mercing
So piracy is not dead just evolving, evolve with it, dinosaurs become extinct

I am soo glad for the chances they have made.. No longer can you sit out sniping haulers, barges, frigates at 250km out with 4+ warp core stabs.. No longer can you repeatly jump into someone's mission in order to shoot them down over and over. You used the game mechanics to the fullest now you have to be perstant, search people out, and others have the ablity to gank you right back now.

as i said i know bout that but not everyone are on at the same time and only certain people have the skills to do that so that means even more skill training on top of the new skills we have to train any way
