Has anyone seen this mod, looks like the normal one is ded npc stations only with no bpo for either launcher. kinda sucks if we cant get hold of them, since the old one now doesnt seem to get the scan time bonus.

Hopefully this issue is *top* on the fix list. Because the original scan probe launcher no longer functions (3 AU probes take longer to scan then they are in space) this needs to be fixed ASAP.

Fathom probes are plenty to shipscan with. I'd still love the recon launcher ASAP for better scantimes :)

Sure you can scan them. But it does no good to land 3000kms in some random direction from the target.

Scan probes are confusing me 
Sooo do the old probes still do the business? What units is the scan range attribute supposed to be in? I'm guessing au but stating units would be nice...
The gravimetric/ladar/etc probes are for? I'm guessing the cloaking stuff...
Any help appreciated.

Sure you can scan them. But it does no good to land 3000kms in some random direction from the target.
That's what so good about them, they are strong enough to give 1.0+ signal strength vs battleships which means 0km accuracy. Same against cruisers at short range and against even smaller targets short range the avg accuracy with max skills will still put you inside grid range. ---------------------------------------- A Guide to Scan Probing in Revelations |

nope the race spersific dont find claoked ship when i was testing on test server they are also large and need the old slow launcher

Simply train "Signal Acquisition" to lvl 2 and your scan time will be below 300.

Valid point, that would get it working again! Still not very impressed with the fact recon launcher isn't out yet.

Speaking of probes, you need to fix scan times. The amount of time it takes to scan for things is 600 seconds and the duration of the cheapest probe is 500, and the skill for reducing duration is rank 8

These old probes are meant to now be ship probes and are only ones that fit in (not-yet-seeded) recon probe launcer.
Recon probe launcher has scantimes (without extra skills) about 60-70s, and as I understood you can even cut down it to a half of it wit signal acquisition skill.
Old probe launcer is meant to be used for these new celestial object probes and moon survey probes - and they have long long scan times with that launcher.

the old probe launcher and probes still work for finding ships. true, the 5au probe does not work, as it expires before scan finished (with astrometrics lvl4, 360 scan time, 300 probe life)
the 10au probe works fine tho, it lives for 600 seconds, and still scans in 360.
