hey after this new mod i finally decided to persue my newfound passion. drones. and i made a new char which was cool cause it gave me level 5 drones, level 5 drone navigation, level 4 drone sharpshooting, and level 4 scout drone operation. so yea im pretty excited to see what i cna do. what do u suggest im gallente. can i run smartbombs that wont kill my drones? or should i put nos in the high slots and just let the drones do it? so many questions since i know nothing about drones.

Reading this ****es me off....sry to say. I've been working on drone skills for a month now and still dont some that were just handed.
And yes run smartbombs....if you want your drones to go capluie...

yo dude. i feel ur pain. i just started my char a month ago. i have 850000sp. the guy i just made to see how the new creation thing went has 820000sp. if u want u can make a new guy. he lacks in lower skills but nothing u cant just make up really quick. i think the new character creation is retarded all these noobs are gonna be just as good if not better than me

well i mean i think that noone should get extra skill points and every noob should start out just as i did. im still a noob. but atleast im working on making myself better one step at a time. but i guess that the pilot skills and knowing what ur doing in the game counts more than skill points anymore. me and my friend popped a 2 year player...ebay...so who knows. i guess ill just trust ccp

either way. how should i start my drone character. i would look at setups but their are new things with the revelations, i just wanna know what i should do. what ship i want i was looking at a vexor. a lil guidance would be of some use. mid slots, low slots.

What setup you need depend of what you'll use the Vexor for, will it be mission running, hunting rats, PvPing.
But smartbomb and drones dont mix well.

Yeah dude don't listen to these bitter people who can think only of themselves and their (omg i lost sp buisness)
Drones rock man... I wont lie my main has well over 2mil sp in drones alone. But I will admit to be the only offensive weapon is pretty poor damage. If you add in some rails with the drones.. now your talkin. You get great...amazing dps with good drone/guns skills a ballance is key to being really smash. Just try it out man, trial and error is all eve is about. Just have fun and don't worrie about the punks who are still complaniing because newer people can actually enjoy the game within a months time.

if u want to go the drone way, go gallente!
gallente have all the drone ships, see vexor, dominix, ishtar, ishkur...
most of the time, a well tanked NOS vexor with good drone skills and some experience is something anyone who isnt in a BS or HAC/CS should think twice about engaging. and a NOS-domi is still one of THE solo wdfpwntbbqownage ships out there.
So, seeing that your drone skills are better than mine and im four months old ( **** this new char creation ) you should aim for a vexor. Work on your drone skills some more (drone interfacing very important), and especially your tanking skills. Get mechanic, repair systems and hull upgrades at least to lvl 4 (get them to 5 when you have the time) and skill up the armor compensation skills, as they can help you make the most of what you can put on the ship.
Seeing that youre aiming for a NOS (read: energy vampire) vexor (should you take my advice) i suggest training for them ASAP.
Tactics to employ:
Use an afterburner to get within NOS, web and scram range. lock the target down, disable his tank using the NOS (worst case scenario is a good passive tank, but those dont last forever) and unleash hell with your little friends.
This is strictly for PvP though.
