Guys-
Too often you are blasted for your mistakes with less positive feedback from the community than you deserve, sure subscriptions tell part of the story but to the guy who designs the data access layer, or adminsters the server, designs the ships etc, kudos from those of us who play the game are in order.
I must say that this release and deployment was handled in a text book way. You delayed the release, presumably to have a solid, content rich and stable release, and you were very succesful.
In a sigle release we got some core architectural changes, new ships and toys, new content and, stability fixes and some excellent game play modifications. All that and a stable release that had 25k+ users on it almost immediately.
The download was efficient and fast and the system is stable. Whatever meta-data and architectural changes you made were top notch and well designed.
Great job guys and thanks for an excellent game that continues to evolve.

It is never perfect, we only ask you do your best and this patch is what I would expect from a team as talented as you have. I have lived through about 4 of these major upgrades so far and this is by far the biggest changes and smoothest deployment.

Before we give them all medels lets see how it settles down for a week or 2.
But so far this has been the best patch deployment (of a biggie) so far.
Only beaten by the first Yarrrdwear expansion in fact.

Agreed. Many nice things that I am still discovering. There will always be bugs, but let me tell you, CCP does a great job of prioritizing and fixing them (tried DDO just long enough to realize how spoiled CCP made me).
And I know I am not alone, TS was beaming last night with positive comments and "sweet did anyone notice this?" sounded like a bunch of kids on Christmas morning.

I'd agree but thats only beacuse every member of staff like the OMG your gods posts and hate OMG your the devil incarnet posts.

Except for the CTD hell some people have been enduring... im at work now but hoped the days maintenance could have solved this.

Thats cause nobody is saying vague, useless crap and making statements that has nothing to do with the reality of things.

Indeed. I don't know how much cursing and swearing there was behind the scenes, but this looks like one smooth and stable rollout, within the predicted timeframe.
