Cannot see Manticore while cloaked to the point that I can't figure out direction of travel. Also can't select ship to do info on it or change name. A few other pilots have made the same comments

Yes, I do believe the 'stealth' part of 'stealth bomber' does betray its supposed to be hard to see.
Its ok though, just blow on our bombers really hard and we're liable to explode. |

Tried that right click before, but it didn't come up. Go figure.

You don't really need to be able to see your ship: Click on capacitor or in center of screen to access menu (unless you off-set camera). Double click in space to move in direction of choice.
Related note: Give all cloaks an ever so slight shimmer and distortion of background light visible to anyone observing them. Automatically balanced by size/distance so it won't be a cloak detection method .. you'd have to know when and where to look .. and it would be the first ever anti-blob mechanic in Eve as masses (read: blobs) of cloaked ships would be easily and readily noticed \o/ |

Your orientation should be towards the direction you are traveling.
Passive alignment is a myth.
And if you're dropping a bomb while not moving, you're doing it wrong. This is my signature.-á There are many others like it, but this one is mine. |

Don't worry if you're going in the wrong direction you will soon find out as soon as that bomb goes off... |

They used to be like this, people just screwed with their graphics settings until cloaked ships we always easily visible thus making cloaks useless. That's why cloaks actually make you invisible to others now.

But the OP has a point. When your own ship cloaks it is a bit too hard to see. I have to move the point of view a bit to the left and right before it is apparent where it is pointing to. It would be great if they could relax the "cloakiness" of your own ship.
It is fine it totally disappears for everybody else.

You'd be surprised how persistent that myth is though, I'm in help channel a lot and people keep droning on about it and no amount of "the game engine sees your ship as points so all that counts is vector, the graphical representation is just that, nothing more" seems to be enough to change their mind.
Excellence is not a skill, it's an attitude.
If MMORPG players were around when God said, "Let there be light" they'd have called the light gay and plunged the universe back into darkness by squatting their nutsacks over it. |

I know about the ship being a 'point'. Somehow I still have this 'my ship must point the right way or else' sense. It's just weird.

Your ship turns to point in the direction that it is traveling. If your ship is not moving then it will turn to face the default direction. In order to avoid the strange appearence of having your ship turn instantly to face a new direction when you start moving, the ship will appear change direction gradually. However, this animation effect does not change the time it takes to get to warp. If your ship is not facing the right direction by the time your ship gets to 75% velocity, your ship will appear to enter warp sideways. |

This is an issue with most cloaked ships with the new, darker space background. I don't know what ship I'm in, let alone the direction I'm moving or how far zoomed in or out I am. |

and what specific settings would correct the issue professor asshat?
The American public's reaction to the change was poor and the new cola was a major marketing failure. The subsequent reintroduction of Coke's original formula, re-branded as "Coca-Cola Classic", resulted in a significant gain in sales, leading to speculation that the introduction of the New Coke formula was just a marketing ploy |
