yes salvaging makes wreck disappear after success
certain wrecks never (?) give salvage: wrecks of rogue drones and wrecks of structures
Salvaging and looting atm seems like a cruel joke
- All the stuff above does not necessarily reflect my corp, my alliance or even me - Pure drone user... give us a mini carrier and faction Typhoon and Dominix please |

In case of unsuccessful Salvaging attempt, does the wreck disappear? If it remains and since salvaging success is so rare it looks to me as a serious problem. Can you confirm this ?

You can have a salvaging "success" without actually getting anything from the salvage. That said, the wreck will disappear after a "success." ------------- Stop whining. |

So, if i understand correctly, you can only make one Salvation attempt to a wreck and get something or nothing. Then the wreck pops. Is this true ?
I don't have the skills yet to test, so i am asking.

No, you contunue to salvage the wreck until one of your salvagers are "successful". Once you are, the wreck dissapears. Some wrecks give you no loot but dissapear anyways, but it might take you 10 cycles on your salvager until you get the "salvage sucessful but..." message. +++

Almost. You may have to make multiple attempts to salvage before a success. Then after this success it will pop. As a side note, the salvager skill will help decrease the amount of time it takes to make a salvage attempt. ------------- Stop whining. |
